Alisha pulled up to Martin and Martin Dentistry. She park and her and the boys got out. A black van with tinted window slowed down, but kept going. They went in the office.
Tamera greeted them at the desk. "Hey fellows you're going to hang out with your dad today?"
The boys said, "yep!" while running to the children's side waiting room. Alisha stayed behind looking confused.
"Hi you must be Alisha. Tamera smiled. Tamera had a white patch of hair in front of that sea of black long wavy hair." Spanish decent with a heavy Puerto Rican accent. She had golden brown almond shaped eyes. Beautifully arranged make-up. In other words. Drop. dead. Gorgeous.
(AN-Tamera's Story will be the second book in this series)
"Dr. Martin will be out shortly. Have a seat here if you like." Tamera said sweetly. "Oh the play room has a X-BOX. They will be dragged off soon." She added.
Alisha sat at the chair near the first examine room. It took awhile for her flight senses relax. She waited until Noah came out.
Phone Rang
Daddy
"Daddy!" Alisha sighed into the phone.
"Hey doll baby. It looks like the trial is set for tomorrow at 10 am. My lawyer will like for you to testify against Leon Sr." He said gruffly.
"I know that this will be hard but, I want things to be right again." He sound tired. "Ah, Shantel left and moved in with Leon Sr."
"We are now divorcing." He heard Alisha's sharp breath. "It's okay she stopped loving me a long time ago."
"Will I get an okay?" He asked hopeful
"Anything Daddy. I want this whole ordeal to be behind us." She said.
"I am on your side daddy. No matter who is for or against you. You can count on me!" she said forcefully meaning everything she said.
They hung up and Alisha looked up into Noah's concerned face. "My dad has court tomorrow. I was asked to testify against Leon Sr."
Noah's face was passive. No real emotion was showing on it. "Ok it's fine Alisha. Do you need me their for moral support?" He asked calmly.
"I will take you up on the offer. Matter of fact you will be taking me." She ducked her head lower. "I am afraid to be alone right now.

"All rise! The honorable Judge Patrica Sutton is presiding in todays court proceedings. Court is now in Session." The bailiff yelled.
She walked in her blond hair bounced with each step. Her black robe stayed stiff as she sat down.
"Please be seated." She said with an authority in her voice. She slam the gavel on the desk.
"This is the case of Leon Alston Sr. The plaintiff and David McFadden the Defendant.
Leon Sr. Lawyer was deliberating the case with him. Leon Sr. wanted to press charges against David.
David's lawyer advised him to plead not guilty due to the nature of the crime. He wasn't in his right mind when he shot is ex-best friend.
Alisha was sitting behind her dad on the defensive side. Noah was sitting two rows back from her as moral support.
Leon Jr. was watching her while sitting on the plaintiff side behind his dad. She is so beautiful today. In her lavender sun dress. Looking so prim and proper for me he thought to himself
On the defensive side Alisha looked up as she was called to testify as a victim. She stood up and walked to stand beside the judge on the platform.
"I promise to tell the truth the whole truth so help me God." She sworn on the bible.
She recounts the story again for the fifth time. The court was in an uproar over her testimony.
The lawyer came in with the next question of his findings that only three people knew.
Alisha, did you become pregnant in result of the rape from Leon Sr?" He asked
"Reminder she was only 12 at the time." he told the court
Her eyes opened wider, but she said "Yes"
The court was enraged. Some ladies was crying for her. Alisha voice remained strong. "I had an abortion."
The judge asked her to step down. She looked over at Leon Jr. Who was more than angry. He was talking to himself quietly.
The Judge walked to her chambers for a brief recess. Thirty minutes later. She came out fully composed.
"In the matter of this case. I find that the defendant not guilty. He acted in pure anger, over in the light of finding out what happened to his daughter. Had she told him when she was younger. Leon Sr. Alston would be in prison." She took a breath.
"Case dismissed!" She slammed the gavel on table.
"All rise!" The. Bailiff yelled again to dismiss court.
Alisha jumped up to hug her father as The Alston's left the court room defeated.
"Thank you for being there for me and helping me out. Doll baby!" David smiled at his daughter.
"I am so happy I came. You were there for me." She gushed at him.
Noah walked up to shake his hand. "My name is Dr. Martin, I would love for you to call me Noah sir. David turned to him and shook hands with him.
"You are the fellow that has been taking care of Alisha?" He asked.
"Yes I met her at her office under the direction of my mother to ask for her assistance to doing service for the community." He said proudly.
"When things started happening to her. I naturally stepped in to help out. I am here for moral support." he said.
"I am happy that Alisha circle has grown by one more person. David said happily.
"Are you married son?" David asked.
"Unfortunately. I have been widowed for almost four years. I have twin boys." Noah bowed his head.
"Don't worry son. Maybe love will find you again." David looked over at Alisha and back at him.
Noah followed his eyes, and had a small hopeful lopsided smile on his face.
Alisha looked at both of them in wonder and confusion. Her dad laughed at her face and smooth down her hair. They walked out of the court how together. Noah was close behind.
