LAUREN'S POV
I woke up from the bright sunlight hitting my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I didn't see (Y/N) any where, but I assumed she'd probably be in the living room. When I got up, I spotted a single red rose on the spot where (Y/N) lay last night with me. I smiled at the thought of how romantic she is. I put on one of (Y/N)'s oversized t-shirts and walked out the room towards the living room. The living room was empty so I assumed (Y/N), Alex and Camila would be in the kitchen. As I walked towards the kitchen I was met with the smell of coffee and music playing. I opened the door and saw (Y/N) standing by the fridge with a can of orange juice in her left hand.
She had gotten her cast off of her right leg and from her right arm a few days ago but still struggled with using them properly like before. Every since then, I had been staying in her and Alex's apartment along with Camila.
She was humming along with Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran, which was playing on the speakers she had plugged into her phone on the counter.
"Well are you just going to stand there or are you going to sit down so I can serve you my delicious home made pancakes? " she said not even turning around. "How did you know I came in?" I asked her while taking a seat on one of the chairs at the counter still looking at her. " I just felt it.." She said turning around looking at my while giving me a cheeky smile and pointing to her heart. I laughed at her silliness as she put the plate of pancakes and a glass of Orange juice in front of me. I thanked her and gave her a quick peck on the lips before eating my pancakes."So where are Alex and Camila?" I asked her when I had finished my breakfast. "They went out. And so are we, I would like to take you on a date today. Only if that's okay with you of course?" She asked me looking in to my eyes. "Of course! I'd love to!" I told her and we smiled at each other. She tried walking around the counter, towards me but she still had trouble walking of course. I stood up and quickly placed her in to the wheelchair that was parked in the corner of the kitchen. "Why did you walk? You know you're not strong enough yet.." I told her in a calm tone while helping her sit down in the wheelchair. "I wanted to do something for you, you know. Just something small." She told me. "But you really don't have to! You already did so much for me." I told her. She grabbed my waist, so that I could sit on her lap. "But I want to do those things for you. Even the little things like this. Because the more you appreciate the little things in life, the more you'll enjoy the bigger things, right? And trust me, I have waaaay bigger things planned than this." She told me. I nodded and looked deep in to her eyes. When I looked into her eyes I saw love and happiness. She always made me feel so safe.
She smiled at me and I did the same. I kissed her long and passionately. When we separated we looked in to each other's eyes again with a smile.
"I love you.." We both said in unison and laughed.
