Chapter Twenty- One : The Confession

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

Baekhyun's POV

"Why are you so cold to me? Why didn't you come to the library last year the day you told me you would?" -Nana

 This is so shocking. Why did she suddenly ask that question?

It made me stop walking and look at her. For the third time our eyes met.

Should I tell her the truth?

Right now I'm battling with myself if I should tell her or not.

I saw you you and D.O. kissing. I'm so jealous and hurt because I like you that's why I became cold to you.

Is that what I should say?

"Yah! Baekhyun-ssi! Answer me please. I really want to know." -Nana

I will tell her... I will tell her the truth and that's final.

"I..." I looked down at my fingers. I just feel embarrassed looking into her eyes. "I ..."

"You what?" -Nana. She sounds annoyed.

I pulled her into a hug. I don't know why but I did. I don't want her to see the look on my face while I confess.

"I was jealous.." - I wasn't done yet but she interrupted my confession.

"Jealous? With who? Why" -Nana

This girl. Jinjja! I have to say it now.

"Let me finish first before you react. Arasso?"

"Ara."

I tightened my hug and put my chin on her shoulders with my lips facing her ear.

Here goes my heart. I closed my eyes heaved a big sigh and whispered.

"That day I was supposed to take you somewhere special. I was supposed to tell you something important. I made a reservation on Namsan Tower. I prepared a table for only the two of us, flowers, banners, balloons and candles. Everything. But all of my efforts were wasted because when I was looking for you in the library I saw something else. Something that made my heart feel numb. That was the something that caused my coldness towards you."

I heaved another sigh.

"I saw you and D.O. kissing. I was about to confess to you that day. I was supposed to tell you how I felt. I was so jealous and angry. My jealousy grew when I saw you blushing when D.O. dedicated a song to you. It grew bigger when he asked you on a date and you agreed. I tried making an excused to stop the both of you from leaving but I made it worse because you moved it on a Saturday. I was really jealous because I thought that only couples go out on weekends."

I was talking non-stop until she hugged me back. I hugged her even tighter. She did the same.

"Calm down. That kiss was accidental. I was running towards him when the glossy floor caused me to slide. He stopped me by putting his hand on my waist but the impact caused my face to move forward. It didn't mean anything to me. Thought it was my first, I didn't care because... wait... What was that you were supposed to confess?"

I loosened my hug and looked into her eyes. I’m still hugging her. I want her to see through my eyes how sincere I am.

"I like you. Ever since. I liked you when Min Seok was still here. I liked you when he left. I like you when I noticed you had a secret crush on Suho." Her eyes widened. " But right now I don't like you anymore. My feelings grew deeper. I fell for you."

"Right now, I'm confused. But how the hell did you know I HAD a secret crush on Suho?"

She put an emphasis on HAD. Her confused look drew a smile on my face.

"You're cute." It has been a long time since I smiled like this in front of her. "But you think I wouldn't notice the way you looked at him when I take you to my practices?" I grinned.

She let go of me then walked away.

"I'm going home. It's getting late."

I walked towards her and grabbed her hand.

"You're not going anywhere without me. I'm taking you home."

Her cheeks blushed. So cute. I felt my cheeks blushing too.

We started walking hand in hand. We were silent but it wasn't awkward. Time after time I would glance at her. She does too. Whenever our eyes meet we just smile at each other.

I can feel that I'm blushing again.

After a few minutes we arrived at her dorm. We said our goodbyes.

She opened the gate. When she was about to go in I pulled her back and kissed her forehead.

"Goodnight!" Then I ran away like a little child waving at her cutely smiling.

I walked to my dorm. I went directly to my room smiling. I jumped into bed.

"Did something good happen?" -Chanyeol, my roomate.

"Yeah. Goodnight." -me

Then I slept with a smile on my face. Can't wait to sing with her tomorrow.

Nana's POV

I walked into my dorm smiling. I passed by Eunseo in the living room.

"Why are you smiling?" -Eunseo

"It's nothing. I'm going to sleep. Goodnight!" -me

I went to my room, jumped to my bed hugged my pillow.

The last thought before I went to sleep was.

I can't wait to sing with him tomorrow.
