Chapter Twenty-Two : Singing Together

 

CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

 

Nana's POV

Last period, music class here I come.

When I entered the classroom I saw Baekhyun in his seat.

He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back.

I'm so happy that his cold looks are gone. I'm so happy that starting now all I'll see from him are his dazzling smiles instead of poker faces, captivating eyes instead of cold looks.

When I reached my seat I looked at him. He had both hands with palms covering half of his cheeks and both elbows on the table. He looked at me cutely and waved.

"Annyeong Nana-ssi!" -Baekhyun.

He looks so cute.

"Annyeong!" -me

"Can I ask you a favor?" -Baekhyun.

"Ne. What is it?" -me

"Can you sing comfortably with me later? Let's not hold back our emotions." -Baekhyun

I felt heat rushing up my cheeks. I wont hold back my emotions? I can let all my love for him out through that song.

"S-sure." -me. I'm stuttering. What is this guy doing to me?

"Kyeopta." -He pinched my cheeks the way D.O. did before.

His eyes were shining brightly. I can see happiness through it.

It made me smile.

After a few minutes our classmates started to enter, including D.O.. Then teacher Lee arrived.

"Okay students. Let's not waste time. Let's start with the first performance. Nana and Baekhyun. You're up." -Teacher Lee.

Baekhyun and I looked at each other smiled and stood up together.

We walked up front. I walking to get the guitar when he held my hand.

I felt electricity the moment he held my hand. I looked at him with a questioning look.

"You don't have to play the guitar I have a CD. Let's go." -Baekhyun.

I sat in a high stool with Baekhyun on the other stool just beside me. Two microphone stands were in front of us. We tested the microphones and when everything was settled he signaled one of our classmates to play the CD.

I was taking glances of him singing. I can feel my cheeks turning crimson seeing him smile. He was looking at me smiling while singing. And I turned to the audience of course, eye contact is important.

My eyes shifted to look at Baekhyun. Our eyes met and we smiled at each other.

I took a glimpse of the audience everybody was swaying their heads except for D.O. who has his poker face on.

He reached out his hand. I held it and we smiled at each other.

We took the microphones with our free hand and started walking around hand in hand constantly looking at each other’s eyes and shifting our eyes to the audience and back again.

Then we let go and went on opposite directions. He was looking at me while singing his parts. I was smiling at him

We looked at each other’s eyes then once in a while we look at the audience then look at each other’s eyes again.

Then he lifted my hand up and put it into his chest. I just can't help but smile.

He put my hand down and we looked at the audience.

Teacher Lee complimented us. After all were done with our performances, we were dismissed.
