Your father had always dislikes the knights. For some reason, there was something that always put him in an impossible state when dealing with the knights. He would get angry and try to solve any problems he had by himself. You did not know why but you never asked.
Living alone with him your whole life, you were too lazy to ask and just let him live his life. He was getting old and single at that. It would be sad to remind him that he had an adult child with him in the same house. You would rather let him feel young.
He opened a bakery, a shop close to the Dawn Winery tavern. He was quite close with the owner of the tavern, Diluc, as they have their similarities. You would watch him talk on the same table with the red haired sometimes.
There was even one time your father had an absurd idea on marrying you to him. You rolled your eyes, hoping he would just let you live your life as you wish. You cannot blame him. He lost his wife while you were still young, and he was raising you alone. He just wanted the best for you.
Being in mid-twenties can be good or bad. For a girl like you, you might have already been too late into the world of marriage. Your father kept talking about your neighbour, 19, that already had a child.
Back to the bakery, your shop was quite far from the Knight of Favonious headquarter. Your father choose that place for a reason. However, it seemed not so far enough for a certain Chivalry Captain. The bell on top of the door rang indicating someone just entered, and you could immediately see your father's face fall seeing the blue-haired male smiling his handsome smile.
You pursed your lips as you turned around to prepare his usual order. While taking out the bread, cutting them, and just do your business, you could feel Kaeya's eyes kept looking at you. You rolled your eyes.
He was trying to aggregate your father.
"You have your job somewhere here ?" My father asked, approaching the counter to put a distance between Kaeya and you. You blew the fringe that got to your face, knowing so well what your father had in mind, and that meaningful smile Kaeya had.
"Yes, I have to take a look at a flower that rumoured to be very seductive and quite harmful around here. Please note that, Mr. [L/n]." You rolled your eyes at his words, handing him the paper bag filled with his order.
"Huh... it required the Captain to deal with it ? I don't know what to think of that." Your father said with his initial distaste towards the knights.
"Father, I think you need to go back to the kitchen." You told your father, noticing that he was starting to say gibberish things about the knights again.
You saw his glare towards the unfazed Kaeya before he went back to the kitchen. You sighed.
"That will be 2300 Mora." You said, looking at the male who finally able to pay for his food after the interference of your father earlier.
"Why so expensive ?" He said with a smile, taking out the money from his pocket. You just took out your hand to get the payment from him.
"Here you go, beautiful." He clasped your hand together with Mora in between as he leaned over the counter and pecked your lips.
"See you later." You wrapped your arms over your chest, watching as he left the bakery. That was a very daring and risky moves. He loved sneaking kisses from you whenever your father around. The feelings of getting caught was exciting, he said.
