Childe was on his business in Liyue. Despite was fooled by the friend he made there, he still wanted to see Zhongli.

Maybe he could spar the master of martial arts himself. He would want to have some challenge.

Plus, it would be bad for him to go somewhere out of mora, right ?

Nevermind, the truth was he only wanted some fresh air from the Fatui's work. Maybe talking with the man with knowledge like Zhongli could refresh himself.

For some reason, he was at Wangshu Inn as been told by the Wangsheng worker. He never visited the place, but he had always wanted to come here. It was a fancy place with lots of delicious foods. He was thinking if given the chance, he would want to bring his siblings here too.

He went up to the rooftop after asking the receptionist. She also looked like she knew about Zhongli already. He pouted internally, thinking Zhongli played him alone.

"--ou've become quite passive now." Childe heard a light sounding voice, own by a female. From afar, he saw the female sitting across Zhongli, wearing dress that split from the side of her thigh, crossing her legs while pouring herself the wine on the table. Zhongli, for once, looking joyous while having the wine of his own.

The sight of the female, looking majestic yet laid back, as if she was fine with anything. Although, he somehow sensed that the person was mischievous on her own, a female that one should always be cautious of.

Suddenly, Zhongli noticed him.

"Childe, you're here."

Childe approached them, and saw you turned to look at you.

Your eyes, as if he was drowing in the sea. Somehow, it felt like he was splashed by the coolness of the water by the beach, he felt refreshed and energized at a same time.

"Oh, who's this cutie ?" You said with a lop-sided smile, resting your chin on your palm.

"A friend I made in the city."

You laughed.

"I told you, mortals are fun creatures. Now, you got yourself one."

Childe stood there awkwardly after being the subject of your conversation as a mortal being. He looked over at you, who gave him a pursed smile.

"He's a genuine friend."

Zhongli ushered Childe to sit, and he went and you immediately put a wine into the cup in front of him.

"Brave little guy." You kept staring at him with a smile, and Childe turned to look at Zhongli, asking for an explanation, as in, introducing him to you.

Zhongli cleared his throat.

"She's an old friend of mine, the original Archon of Fontaine."

Childe eyes widened, finding out he was put in a position in between two archons, the deities that ruled lands.

Now he knew why you had such a getup. You looked majestic in a dress expressed nobility, exposed shoulders and hair styled in a crude way, as if you just woke up.

"She's not the Archon anymore, but she was in her glorious days, along with me." Zhongli said with a smile, reminiscene the moment him and his friends was crowned as the original Archons after the Archon war.

"Playing god can get boring, Childe." You said as you cugged a wine, and he just nodded, afraid of saying wrong thing. You were an Archon, for goodness sake. Not only that, he was in between both Archons.
