Annabeth's POV

I'm falling. A dark pit under me. It feels as if a monster is dragging me down.

What happened?

I remember watching the MAMA performances. Then I started screaming and the doctors came in. Heheh. I was swinging my arms around during 'Life Goes On' but then I stopped being able to feel them. My legs lost feeling too. My headaches got stronger. At one point the world blurred together. Then I blacked out.

I slowly open my eyes. The lights flash at me. A headache starts up again. I call for the nurse.

The door opens. "Are you alright?" Someone shuffles over.

I nod my head. "Can you open your eyes?"

"It's too bright." I respond.

I hear a click, "Open them now."

I open my eyes. Darkness swallowing both of us. A small nurse stands on my left side. Pink scrubs on.

She smiles at me, "How are you feeling?"

"Tired. I have a headache." I say. "What happened?"

"You had a stroke. It didn't just happen. Have you ever experienced a moment where you had trouble moving around?"

I slowly nod.

"Your stroke was gradually happening."

"Am—I—alright now?" I ask having trouble finding the right words.

"Well, we had to do a surgery but, you should be fine now. We are going to keep you here for a little longer." She has her back to me.

"Here, eat these it'll help." She hands me a bunch of pills and a cup of water.

I go to put them all in my mouth. "Oh! Don't do that! Your stomach hasn't had food in a while eat the pills a few at a time I'll be back with some food."

She exits the room and I follow her instructions. When I'm done I realize how hungry I really am.

"Here you go!" She hands me a tray with some porridge, chicken broth, and jello.

"Thanks." I start to shovel food in my mouth.

"Are you up for visitors? You've got quite a crowd out there." I think for a bit.

"Only a few." I say.

"Okay. Who do you want to see?"

I think very carefully, "Piper, Percy, Luke, and Thalia. If they are here."

"Is Percy your boyfriend?"

I nod. She chuckles, "He's a keeper."

The nurse leaves to go get them. I lean back and close my eyes.

"ANNABETH MARIE CHASE!!!" The door slams open. I wince from the loud noise.

Piper storms into the room and flips on the switch. I immediately shut my eyes and groan.

"Don't groan at me!"

"Turn the dang lights off!" I yell getting annoyed.

She flips the switch and I open my eyes again. Her eyes are full of worry but her face means I'm dead.

"How—Why—Bethy." Piper struggles to find the right words.

I sigh, "You know how I've been having a hard time walking? Well apparently that was a cause of a stroke. My stroke came gradually."

I scoot over and gesture for her to sit. She plops down next to me.

"Let's move on! It's getting way too depressing in here." Piper declares, "So tell me about these ENHYPEN guys."

"Oh my gosh! They are so cute and talented and sweet. Oh my gosh Piper look at them." I whip my phone out and show her a bunch of pictures.

"Jungwon is cute!" She exclaims.

My face goes dark, "He mine!" I say threateningly.

"Okay okay geez. So territorial. Heeseung is cute." Piper giggles. "Okay I'm starting to see what you see."

"YESSSS!" I cheer. We both giggle.

We sit in silence swooning over pictures for like 15 more minutes.

"Well I better go. Give someone else a turn. This conversation isn't over though." I nod enthusiastically, "so who do you want to see?"

"Percy." I say quickly.

She walks out of the room and I sigh.

"Annabeth?"

My head jerks to the door.

"Percy."
