Percy's POV
I hold my hand down to help her up. I defended her from Drew. Kind of. She still got hit hard. I wish I could've taken some of it too. Anyway. I hold out my hand and stare into her eyes. She stares into mine. Ugh! Why does she have to be so pretty.
She gets up and runs away. Drew sneers at her back. I glare at Drew and run after Annabeth. I see her turn left. I follow her. As I'm leaving the cafeteria I see my friends yelling at Drew. I'll have to thank them later.
I run after Annabeth. I see her leaning up against her locker crying.
"Hey." I say.
"What do you want?" She questions.
"Soooo. Do you have a change of clothes?" UGH STUPID PERCY STUPID!!!!
"No. I'll have to call home and ask. Of course no one will care. No one cares about me." She says miserably.
"Come with me. I have swim practice after school. I have another change of clothes if you want it."
"Sure?"
I guide her over to the locker rooms. She waits outside. I run in and grab my change of clothes. I give it to her and she walks into the girls locker room. While mumbling a "thanks".
I wait outside and twiddle my fingers.
When she comes out all the air is knocked out of my chest.
Annabeth giggled and said, "Close your mouth or you'll catch flies."
I close my mouth and smirk at her. Wow! I like seeing her in my clothes. Dang!!! That sounded weird.
"Sooooo." I said. Why not spring the question now. Phew. Now or never. "Sooooo. Annabeth. Do you.....ummm....do you wanna.......umm...... DOYOUWANNAGOTOTHE WINTERFORMALWITHME!!!" I blurt out without hesitation.
"Ummm what!"
"Do you want to go to the Winter Formal with me?"
She just stares with her mouth wide open, "Ummmm....I....uhh...I would......ummm..."
"PERCY!!!" A loud voice calls.
"Jason, seriously!" I glare at him. Now I'm gonna have to do it all over again. I mean she was about to answer.
"Is she wearing your clothes?" He asks then gasps, "Oh I'm so sorry. I should go. See you in class." He waves and walks away.
The bell chose to ring in that moment. I sigh and look at her hopefully.
She is looking at the floor. "Ummm I think we should get to class." I felt my face fall a bazillion stories. "See you later Percy."
She walks away. I sigh, look down, and stuff my hands in my pockets. I start heading to class.
What was she going to say before Jason interrupted us?
NOOOOOOO!!! Hi! I just love doing this. The suspense in killing and I'm writing it! Sorry for the short chapter. I had a lot of homework today. I love how Jason just ruins the moment. Then when he realizes what he interrupted he just walks away in hopes that it will go back to the way it was. LOL!!!
