"I think you got a bit chubbier since I last saw you." Claude gently touched the bottom of his chin as he looked down at Athy, who was being held up by you.
"Hehehe, you look pretty too, papa!" Athy cheered happily, you were slightly suprised that she wasn't shaking.
Felix and Lily gave concerned expressions, they're hearts racing as Athy spoke to Claude so casually. They were used to YOU being casual but it seemed a lot riskier when it was Athy.
"Follow me." Claude instructed, turning around.
All your hearts raced, taking a heavy sigh as Claude led you all to a boat on a beautiful lake.
"I was on my way to the lake, get ready to join me." Claude adjusted his robe and walked towards the boat.
"Bad idea, she'll fall in." You said, pointing at how deep the lake was. You shook your head and Claude looked at you with dead eyes.
"Your Majesty, I worry the princess being around water is..." Lily muttered.
"What's the worry about when she's with me?" Claude said blankly.
"When's she with you it's probably worse." You mumbled, only Claude heard and he just scoffed.
"B..but.." Lily mumbled.
"Athy, you sure you want to get on?" You questioned, holding tightly to your niece and giving her a concerned glance. Athy shook her head to you but once Claude turned around, she smiled.
"Of course she does. Don't you want to join me?" Claude got closer to you and Athy and looked over her.
If anyone had no context of the situation saw, the two of you would look like a married couple with a child. Felix clenched his fist.
"Yep, Athy wants to go with papa too!" Athy smiled happily and Claude took Athy out of your ands and placed her in the boat.
"If Claude pushes you off then call for your uncle." You said teasingly, winking as if you were joking.
"Silence, Y/N" Claude said, you chuckled as they both sat down.
They went off in the boat, you grumbled and watched them sail off.
"I'm gonna stay here, I don't trust that asshole not to suffocate her with a lily pad or something." You said to Lily and Felix, who nodded in acknowledgement.
