AN- It's been a while, and this isnt great, but I had an idea and rolled with it. There's a lot of Logicality mention, I might write out a story for them later, but probably wont.
Word Count- 2018

What happens when two people are friends for 18 years, get separated, and then somehow end up as neighbours after they have each had kids?

The kids end up friends because when you’re in kindergarten, the only criteria is that you’re both there.

This happened to Virgil Moon and Roman Queen.

Virgil’s dad, Logan Moon, and Roman’s dad, Remy Queen, were unlikely friends growing up. They were a source of comedy for the other because of their differences and helped provide different points of view.

And now Virgil and Roman are friends because they grew up next to each other.

“Hey, I’m Virgil.”

“I’m Roman! Wanna be friends?”

“Do I have a choice?”

“I do not know what that means.”

“Virgil, we’re going over to Remy’s for dinner. He swears that he’s mastered the art of making shepherds pie,” Logan said. Virgil laughed, hopping up.

“Do I have to put on shoes?” Virgil asked.

“Yes, but you may take them off when you get there,” Logan said, knowing he’d take them off anyway.

“Sweet,” Virgil said, putting on his shoes.

They walked over, Virgil under his hood and headphones, blocking the annoying sun from getting in his eyes.

“Remy, we’ve arrived,” Logan said, walking in.

“Awesome! Go wherever, I’ll be a few minutes!” Remy yelled from the kitchen.

“Roman!” Virgil yelled, shortly after hearing Roman scramble down the stairs.

“Virgil!” Roman exclaimed. Virgil bit his smile back. He took off his shoes and threw one at Roman, hitting him in the chest. He threw the other, which Roman caught. “Why do I never expect it?” Roman muttered, picking up the other shoe before tossing the pair into the corner.

“Because you’re forgetful,” Virgil said. Roman nodded and Virgil sat at the table, on the chair backwards, resting his feet on the wall and his head on the table.

“Did you finish the algebra homework?” Roman asked.

“Yes, and no, you cannot copy my answers,” Virgil said. Roman rolled his eyes.

“That’s not…” Virgil looked at Roman skeptically. “Could you at least help me with it?” Virgil laughed.

“You could ask my dad, you know. He’s literally a math teacher,” Virgil said with a small laugh, scrolling down tumblr.

“Yeah, but your dad isn’t as fun. Or any fun. He’s just no fun,” Roman said. Virgil laughed again.

“Well, who in the world thinks learning should be fun?” Virgil asked. “Because they were right.”

“When you’re learning, you shouldn’t notice that you’re learning.”

“You realise that you could relay this message unto your teachers instead of complaining about it to your friends?” Logan asked.

“Would you change your teaching style?” Roman asked.

“Well, no. But only because I’m not sure how. I’m sure that other teacher would be happy to change their style,” Logan said. Roman rolled his eyes and sat next to Virgil.
