AU- Human
Sad Baby Patton. It's cute, don't worry. He has rhotacism, so the spelling might be weird.
Unedited.
"I can't believe my baby boy is going to college!" Roman's mom, Ella, exclaimed, hugging him tightly from the side. Roman was holding a box and laughing nervously.
"Mom!" Roman whined. Virgil was leaning against the car with a sad smile on his face, laughing at his best friend's mother's actions.
"I'm sorry, honey, but it's just so sad!" She cried. Virgil rolled his eyes. "We're gonna miss you so much!"
"Ella, let him pack his stuff," Henri said. Ella pouted, resting her head on her taller son's shoulder.
"But he's leaving! It's gonna be so lonely in the house! And we'll never see Virgil at the house!" Virgil raised his hand slightly, keeping his arms half crossed.
"I'll still visit to see Patton," Virgil said, as if it were obvious. And it was. Patton was a foster child that they kept. He was only 4. "Speaking of which, it won't be lonely, Patton's here."
"Yeah, but we can't have the same conversations we have with Roman with Patton." Virgil laughed.
"Well, I mean, there's Henri, or me or Logan," Virgil listed. Ella pulled away (Virgil winked at Roman as if it were planned) She was confused.
"Logan's 5."
"I know. But he probably knows more than I do," Virgil said, picking at his dark nails. Roman smiled. Virgil was so charming...
"It's true," Logan said. He and Patton were playing with army men and action figures in the yard.
"It's also, the next time we see Roman, he'll probably have a girlfriend," She said, wiping at her eyes. Roman swallowed inconspicuously, his eyes shifting.
"Ella, let him pack. It's a long drive and if he doesn't get there in time, he won't be allowed in." He adjusted his glasses. "It's called a curfew," Logan said, turning back to the game.
"Fine, fine, fine," Ella said. "I'll get one of the boxes from inside," She said. Henri followed her inside. Roman put the box in the trunk of the car with a small laugh.
"I knew mom would be like this," He said. He laughed, putting his hands in his back pockets. "Not as bad as I expected." Virgil let out a small laugh.
"It's actually better than expected." He looked back at the smiling child. Logan put a blue band-aid on Patton's knee. He giggled before looking back down at the small figured that rested on the plastic lid they had put on the grass. "You told him yet?"
"No."
"You need to, y'know," Virgil said. Roman sighed.
"Yeah, I know," He said, miserable and regretting.
"Patton," Virgil called over.
"Wha-- Right now?!" Roman asked in shock.
"Roman, you have to leave in 20 minutes. His best friend knows, you need to tell him." Roman sighed again.
"I know." Patton ran up.
"Sowwy, I was playing with Logan," He said. Roman looked down at the happy boy.
"I... I can't do it." He turned to Virgil. "Help." Virgil knelt down.
"Hey, Kiddo." Patton smiled widely. "Roman has to go today, okay?"
"Okay! When will he be back?" He asked kindly.
"Around Thanksgiving." Patton's tilted his head in confusion.

FanfictionI filled up my first book... so now there's a second one. It's exactly what it sounds like, I don't know what you expected. I have a lot of ideas, but not enough to make full-length stories. Includes Logicality, Prinxiety and Remile.
