22 - First kiss

Vijay's POV :

" What the hell..!!!" I gritted my teeth while rubbing my palm on my now wet face to remove water dripping from my hair.

In the background, I can hear her giggling. I glared at her gritting my teeth with hands on my hips.

She burped making me smile inside seeing her cuteness, but I composed myself and maintained a straight face.

"Oops... ss..sorry " she stuttered closing her mouth with her palms trying to stop another burp. I laughed seeing her expressions which were mimicing a cute bunny. She too joined my laughing session.

But wait a minute... Her laugh was not normal. She was giggling like a drunk person. She got up from sofa & walking towards dining table to keep the biryani plate which she just ate. But what caught my attention was , she was swaying side to side while walking. Yes, she is drunk. But I remember her refusing alcohol & opted for fruit juice earlier. What happened when I went to attend phone call that she got drunk in those 30 mins.

'Something is fishy' I thought while dialing a number from whom I can get my answer i.e; Anand.

A loud pounding sound of music hit my ears as soon as he answered my phone.

" Anand, what happened to Deepu? Why was she looking drunk ? " I asked.

" Annayya... wait a minute. I can't hear you. Let me come out " Anand said. I can hear background music fading out.

" Yes bro tell me now. Did u proposed? What did she say? Did she said yes? " He asked pouring questions one by one excitedly which irritated me more.

" Shut up Anand , listen to me. First answer my question. What happened to Deepu? Why is she behaving weirdly ? " I asked in a serious tone.

" Weirdly... matlab? " Anand asked.

" She looks drunk!!! " I said.

" Oh... so the medicine is working it seems " Anand said.

" What medicine ? What's wrong with her ? What did you do ? Tell me.. otherwise I will kill you.. " I said worrying about her.

" Calm down bro... I just spiked her drink " Anand answered.

" Spiked!! But why ? Were you out of your mind ? " I asked.

" So that she can open up about her past without any restriction & you can know her heart. So don't waste this opportunity & convey your feelings to her and know her feelings. Bye, I need to go " He said & cut the call.

One side I was really angry on Anand. How can he spike her drink. Its very unethical. On the other side I was happy that finally she will open up about her past. I am 100% sure that in no way she will share her past in conscious state. So I can't miss this opportunity to know her better.

" U can do it Vijay " I huffed to myself and turned towards her. I panicked on not finding her there.

" Deepu... Deepu... Ekkadunnav (where are you)? " I shouted expecting a reply from her. But on not getting a reply I started panicking. I searched kitchen, bed rooms, bathroom, balcony. But she was no where found. I searched the entire house. I ran to the garden hoping I can find her , but she was no where seen. I saw her scooty parked there.

My heart started racing, I was sweating heavily. Drops started falling from my eyes without my knowledge. A sudden fear of losing her engulfed me. I felt suffocated. Where did she disappeared? What if something happened to her?

" Deepu... Deepu.." I shouted & landed on my knees crying bending my head on to the floor.

' I like watching night sky ' her words echoed in my head. I look up to the sky with teary eyes. I felt a relief seeing a silhouette on the terrace. I rubbed my eyes to get rid of tears to get a clear picture. I sighed seeing her there.

I shouted her name but she was not paying any attention. She was lost in her own thoughts. I rushed upstairs hurriedly climbing 2 steps at a time. In that process my leg got hit twice but it didn't stopped me from reaching her.
