A sudden buzzing noise awoke Brooklyn from her peaceful slumber. She lay on Scott's bed with her back to his chest and their legs tangled together. He carefully leaned over her, still keeping one of his arms under her head, as he grabbed his phone from the bedside table.

The buzzing noise was coming from the device, Scott immediately going to stop the irritating sound. In her still sleepy state Brooke didn't want to look at the bright screen because it would hurt her eyes so instead she asked, "What's wrong?"

"It's the alarm at the animal clinic." Scott told her, "I think it's a break-in." Without another word, the two of them rushed to get there.

Her eyes taking one last uneasy glance around the room, Brooklyn walked up next to Scott and stood with her ear to the phone as well so she could hear the other side of the conversation. "Scott?" came from the other end of the line.

"Stiles, someone's taking the bodies." the McCall boy informed his best friend.

That's what they had discovered as they'd arrived at the animal clinic. Tracy's body that should've been here was no longer and Deaton wasn't the one to take it from the obvious signs of forced entry.

"Stiles? You there?" Scott asked when no sound was heard from the Stilinski end of the line.

"Yeah. Um... Where? What are you talking about?" he questioned.

"I'm at the animal clinic with Brooke. Tracy's body is gone. The lock on the door was broken from the outside. And my mom told me Lucas' body is missing from the morgue. They're searching the whole hospital for it. Someone's stealing the bodies." Scott explained.

Brooklyn couldn't be more annoyed. Now they had another mystery to solve. And it wasn't a fun one.

Brooklyn walked with Scott through the library the next day after they finished printing copies of some book called The Dread Doctors by T.R McCammon.

"I don't think the Dread Doctors are the ones that are stealing the bodies." Scott told Brooke, keeping his voice a little hushed so no one could eavesdrop.

"Are we really calling them that?" the Hale girl exclaimed quietly.

"Think about it." Scott continued, "They killed Tracy and walked away. They killed Lucas and walked away. Why would they leave and come back to take the bodies?"

Brooklyn nodded along, "Someone else is taking them."

"But the bodies aren't just bodies. They're... They're failures." the McCall boy added.

"So, if the Chimeras are all failures, how bad is the success going to be?" Brooke pondered.

"Probably really bad." Scott responded.

They went to push open the exit doors when the True Alpha stopped. He looked back at the room with a furrowed brow. "What's wrong?" the Hale girl asked.

"I thought I smelled blood." Scott told her.

They both scanned the room with their eyes but nothing and nobody seemed off. Brooke's abilities weren't triggered either. "There doesn't seem to be anything wrong. I can't sense anything." the healer said to her boyfriend.
