Something was different. Something had changed.

The whole dynamic was off.

For five days now there has been no new chimeras, no glimpses of the Dread Doctors. Yet it was like they were waiting for this impending doom. Walking down the school corridor, Brooke was normally met with a buzzing, colourful scene but it was now bleak and miserable. No one wore even a ghost of a smile. Barely anyone said a word.

Scott's asthma was back. As bad as it was before, apparently. He had to keep an inhaler on him at all times. Kira was gone. A chimera had been found dead with her sword through their stomach in the McCall house but when she was taken for questioning her dad had turned himself in for her. But since the bodies were being taken, the police had no proof and they had to let him go.

Kira and her family left that evening. For a while, the kitsune had been struggling with her powers, unable to control them. She'd nearly killed on a couple occasions and she couldn't have that anymore. So, she left. She was going away to try and take control again, in any way she could.

But she doesn't really know what to do. And neither does anyone else. Which is probably why the pack weren't really talking to one another anymore. Hardly ever noticing each other's presence. But maybe some were fine with that, after all, you can keep your secrets hidden easier that way.

And then there was Parrish. They'd found out that he was the one taking the bodies. They'd found his burned badge. But he doesn't remember taking the bodies. So no one has told him about it. And he's only dangerous if you get in his way.

But because of this, Lydia was able to work out where the bodies are. They're at the one and only, Nemeton. So now, the banshee and Stiles spend their free time searching high and low through the woods to try and find it. However, the last time they did find it, three of them had to practically die.

The Sheriff is also setting tasks for his deputies to look out for anyone who could possibly become a chimera. Melissa had worked out that the chimeras were genetic chimeras meaning they had two sets of DNA. Like Tracy's skin graft. The two chimeras that they did know where doing fine. They were healing just like any werewolf and no longer needed their help. Not like they wanted it anyway.

And then there was Scott and Brooke. The two exchanged words every now and again but nothing much. They'd had nothing to do, no one to help so they weren't really sure what to do with themselves. The last time they'd held each other was when the Hale girl fell asleep in his arms after Theo saved them five days ago. Which felt more like forever ago.

Brooklyn was sat in her English class bored as hell. She was trying to balance her pen on her finger when Theo turned around grabbing hers and Scott's, who sat next to her, attention. "Hey. I need to talk to you two about something." Theo stated.

"You okay?" Scott questioned.

"Yeah. It's not really about me." Theo informed him. "But it's something I probably should've told you two a long time ago."

The Hale girl's brow furrowed a little, "What is it?"

The boy in front of them looked down for a second, "It's about Stiles."

Brooke opened her mouth to say something when Scott spoke up. "Wait... do you hear that?" he asked, tilting his head slightly.
