J E L A N I
School was stressful, Jelani was drowning in assignments and student debt, praying for her passion to be found somewhere else.
She was studying cosmetology, she wanted to be a professional make up artist, taking on theatrical and performance make up. She wanted to own her own studio one day. "Can't you take a break, we have a surprise for you!" Fairy exclaimed, holding Jelani from the back. Jelani couldn't stay mad at Fairy to save her life. She needed Fairy more than she needed herself.
"Guys. I get it, you're excited for MY birthday but I desperately need to finish this."
Jelani turned back to focus on her portfolio, but her mind kept drifting off to the guy she met a few days back. He loved art - well he said like but, he loved art like her. Jelani grinned and lost focus once again, for the third time since she started.
"There's something I have to tell you guys," She said, heavily accentuating the 'have'.
Fairy and Verity leaned in closer. "Yeah...tell us," Verity smiled.
Thirsty bitches, always hungry for drama.
"So, when I left the party...I didn't leave on my own..." She started, untying her hair from the puffy bun it was in..
"You fucked-" Fairy exclaimed way too loudly. Verity slapped her hand on their face. "Ouch," Fairy muttered, rubbing their fingers over their lips.
"He drove me home. He's really sweet. I really miss him," She said, thinking about how she didn't even get Xavier's name.
"You fall in love with anyone you talk to, though," Verity said. "No, I'm not impulsive."
"Is he cute?" Fairy said enthusiastically. Of course he was. He was the pure definition of cute. And hot at the same time. His face was cute, his body was sexy, his voice - it was seductive.
"Yess," Jay squealed. They hugged her tightly. "What's his name," Fairy asked as they picked their manicure.
"I dunno."
What would his name be? Can you name a God? Is it possible for a feeble like me to name a God?
Their faces stayed blank. "What-" They questioned. Fairy turned their head to the side in suspicion.
"Yeah, I was sorta drunk..." Jelani muttered looking down. She was pretty disappointed in herself for not being sober enough to remember her moment with him.
"I'm telling you, he's so dreamy."
Tears began forming in her eyes. "He was so mean, but it was like - he was God. Or like...the Messiah or something. He was magical, I dunno," Jay cringed. She sounded like a teenage girl influenced by vodka.
