After we were all caught by Headmistress Umbridge the twins decided it was best to leave Hogwarts. I thought it was stupid. We had two weeks left of school left. They had two weeks left period. Why not just stick it out and finish strong. But I was upset.
When I heard of the news that they were planning on leaving, I saw them sitting around dinner with Marie and a few other Gryffindor students. Fred, George, and Lee were nowhere to be found. I overheard Ron say something about their grand exit from Hogwarts. Which made me upset. It was true. They were leaving.
After dinner that night, I went straight to the Gryffindor dormitory. I was frustrated now. I mean how could they not tell me. There were already a few students in there relaxing by the fire as I stormed up to the twin's dorm room. I could hear the both of them laughing along with Lee in there as I grabbed the door handle and pushed the door open. Slipping through the opening and then letting the door slam behind me as all three of them looked over in my direction.
"Lee, I think it is best we leave. Let the love birds figure this out," Fred said as he quickly got up from where he was sitting. Lee was quick to follow as they walk past me and head out the door. Once I heard the door closed behind me I looked straight over at George.
"Is it true? You and Fred are leaving?" I asked George as he stood up from his seat and walked over towards me.
"Yes," He sighed as he tried his best not to make eye contact with me.
"Please don't," I said as I could feel the tears pooling in my eyes.
"Dais, it's nothing personal," He said quickly as he walked over towards me, placing his hands on my forearms, "I mean it's long overdue and we gotta leave with a bang," He tried to joke as he reached from my hands but I quickly pulled away from him.
"George please I'm begging you. I understand that education is not your and Freds' thing but you have two weeks left. Just stick it out and then you can go work on the shop or do whatever you are going to do."
"It's not just that and you know it," He argued back as he let go of my arms.
"Then what is it?" I pestered as I could feel myself growing angry, "What could possibly be so important other than finishing the term?"
"Living my life with no boundaries and no rules," He said angrily this time as the energy in the room became tense, "I have been stuck in this place since I was 11. I have lived with rules my whole life and now it is time for us, for me, to go out there and live our own lives. To prove that we can be successful at what we love and enjoy doing. Which is making people laugh and having a good time, Daisy. Why can't you see that?"
"I do. I do see that George," I croaked as I tried my best not to become angrier, "I have seen it for years."
The room fell silent as George now stood over by the window. His back turned to me as I knew I brought this argument out onto the both of us.
"It's just Georgie, what if the shop fails? Then what else are you supposed to do if you can't get a job then?" I spoke softly as George turned back around to face me.
"The shop is going to do fine. I know it. We know it. We have been selling things like crazy here and getting ready to open the shop by the beginning of next year. Are you going to support me in this all the way?" He asked as he now stood in front of me.
"I already do. I am just scared for you and for Fred. I want to see you succeed more than anything," I said as I stepped closer towards George, taking his hands in mine, "I just want you to be safe out there in the world. I know you two can do it. I know that you can do it. It's a tough world out there. I just don't want you to lose your hope out there and let others diminish the light and spark you have to do great things."
