Back In School

"Good morning pretty" Sofia greeted me as she swept the room.

"Good morning sis" i replied.

"How's your night darling? She asked

"It was nice and pretty painful" i replied.

"Why? " she said as she dropped the broom she was holding and came to sit near me.

"Hey you don't need to worry about me,it's because of the beating i received from my step mum the day before yesterday".

"Oh, yes i forgot all about that, but don't worry because the drugs I gave you is going to reduce the pain gradually"

"Thanks" i said

"You know what, i think am going to fight you if you keep on telling me thanks, am your sis so you don't need to thank me" she said as she stood up from the bed and collected the broom that was on the ground.

Dduuuuuu📞📞 Dduuuuuu📞📞 Sofia phone rang, she rushed towards her phone in a second.

"Hello honey" she said.

By what she said I knew it was Stephen, she was so happy that she dropped the broom again and started walking around and touching the flower at the right side of the room.

I collected the broom she dropped and started sweeping the floor, Even though I felt pain I didn't want to make a sound because Sofia was talking to someone very important in her life.

"Tell him I said hi" I told her silently.

She responded by giving me thumps up sign👍🏽, After a while they were done with talking and I was also done with sweeping the room.

"What happened" I asked as she sat on 🛏️ bed.

"Stephen will be traveling to the United States Of America tomorrow for some business assignment"

"I know your going to miss him"

"Yes a lot" she replied.

"But that doesn't mean you should be sad because you have your sis here with you, so don't worry about anything"

"What do you mean by anything, am worried mostly about you and remember that you have to go back home to that devil of a so-called stepmother"

"You are so mean" I said.

"I'm only mean to people like her, let me make breakfast for us to eat, Go and brush your teeth" she ordered.

I brushed my teeth as the boss commanded while she went to make breakfast.

After 40 minutes she came back.

"Hey, stand up you just woke up and you want to sleep again?" Sofia asked me.

"I'm just tired" I said.

"The medicine is working that's why" she said.

"Oh My God!!, You made my favorite food"

"Yes, because today your going to leave me so I wanted to prepare a good bye 👋breakfast" she said.

"You didn't have to"

"I had to little sis, now stop talking and let's eat I have to go to work"

"To work?" I asked In suprise.

"Ye! I totally forgot to tell you. After the training, Stephen pleaded with his boss to allow me to be making food and selling it in his office"

"Awwnn! Looks like Stephen is seriously into you" I teased her and she blushed.
