"What of your sister?" He asked.

"Uh?, My sister? For what?" I asked confused.

"For a wife" He said with a serious face.

"Don't even think about it" I gave him a hard glare.

"She isn't with Joshua anymore right?"

"Yes, why do you care"

"It's a secret" He said with mischief in his eyes.

"I will go continue waiting for Tana" I said opening the car door by the handle.

"Let me follow you" He said also opening the car door as we both walked back to the waiting area. My mum and Sofia were also there, they were already done with their checkups and there was another woman with them whom I think I saw once before.

"How long has she been there?" My mum asked as she walked towards me worried.

"An hour and some minutes" I replied. Sofia let out a sigh of fear and frustration.

"And how long will the operation take?" My mum asked.

"I don't know, the doctor didn't say" My mum sat back on the chair.

"Carlos" The other lady who was there spoke, Carlos looked at her he wore a confused face. "Can we please have a talk?"

"Sure" He replied

CARLOS POV'S

"Am Amanda Crosse" The woman said sitting besides me.

"You already know who I am" I said, Did that sound rudely? Cause I didn't mean it in in a rude way and she already knows who I am.

"Yes, am a mother of three but people think I own only two children which are missing"

"Then, how are we related?"

"When both me and your mother were young, we both got pregnant at the same time. I was due to a boy and your mother was...." I cut her off.

"Please don't call her my mother just say 'she' or 'the woman"

"Sorry, The woman was due to a girl. At that point I was poor like extremely poor and I knew I couldn't cater for you, even your biological father lost his job at that time everything was going badly and poorly in our way. Your....I mean the woman she came to meet me telling me that she would pay me five hundred thousand dollars if I would trade my baby to her.She started disturbing, begging and forcing me, anytime she saw me she would always ask of that first.

At first I hated and condemn the idea but after some days I changed my mind. We were due to leave the house we were staying because we couldn't pay any longer and I wouldn't like the idea of my child being homeless or I won't be able to cater for him. So I accepted the deal, on one condition that she will pay me the money, she will name you Carlos and that she will take care and protect you from any danger. She accepted"

"Why did she want me so badly?"

"Because at that time she loved her husband very much"

"My father?, The one who died some years back" I asked shocked. So my mum...I mean my ex-mum could go as far as loving someone.

"Yes, she loved him so dearly that she could give her life for him. And your father wanted someone mostly a male to take over his business if anything happens to him, it's not like he would have not accepted a girl but your mother wanted him to be extremely happy and at that time he was out of the country for a business trip, he would have returned back but there was a breaking News of a new virus spreading fastly and killing so many, so all airports were closed, your father couldn't make it back.

Your mother used that opportunity to lie to your father that she was due to twins, a boy and girl. Luckily both me and her actually gave birth in the same hospital, at the same time, so it was like you and Christina were twins"

"So she's been deceiving my father since?" Now I was understanding everything and it all made sense. That's why she always treated me differently from Christina.

"Yes, but your father found out after three years and he was angry and annoyed by what she did. He wanted to return you back to me and I would have accepted you back cause everything was starting to go well for us. But that's when my husband got killed and your other siblings went missing"

ANTONIO'S POV

I listened quietly and thoughtfully to the discussion between Carlos and the woman who claims to be his mother. They are still talking, and I can of believe her because they somehow look alike, they have the same colour of eyes, hair and complexion, even they have the same smile so cute.

I'm still here waiting for Tana, I checked the time it's already close to two hours and am really worried. I look over to my brother he's giving me a reassuring look, I look over to my mum she smiles at me mouthing 'she's going to be alright' , I look over to Sofia her head is bent down as I can see little tears drop down from her eyes. I pat her a little on the back, she raises her head up.

"She's going to be fine" I tell her.

"I know, this family reunion is so touching" She nods her hair towards Carlos and the woman.

"Oh" I say as I'm shocked. Girls are always emotional!😒

The same doctor who took my blood comes out of the operating room. I immediately stand up walking towards him, I hope it is a good news. He's face looks speechless, I can't detect any emotions from it.

"We've tried our best" That was the first word he said, and it brought me crashing down on a sit. I bent down my head as tears fell down slowly.

"She's somewhere between coma and death. We gave her all the medications but the poison she took was stronger and it already had a huge effect on her body before you brought her to the hospital"

"So she's in coma now?" Sofia asked.

"Not really, but she's around there. She can still breath but can't move or talk, or even hear what you say. I advice we give her some more space to rest, then later you can come and see her"

"Sure" My mum said.

I raised my head up, the other surgeons and nurses in the operating room started coming out. Then there was Tana she was in a moving bed as they pushed it.

I couldn't bare to see her like this, so I closed my eyes crying the more.
