KAREN

Immediately they catch up with us, I bring out my phone and text mom. It is the first time I'm typing really fast in my life because of tension and fear.

Track Asher's phone with the police

Immediately I delete the text, the guy snatched my phone away from me and peeps into it.
"You want to send a text? To who?" He smirks, giving me a deadly look and tosses the phone to one of his members.

Asher gets his gun out from inside his trousers  where he had kept it.
He points them both at our rivals. I am so going to melt right here because I'm dead scared of everything going on.
"Quit it Alex! Give me back my son!" Asher tells Alex who comes in front of Asher with his hands in his pockets.

"I have no business with you. Your brother has a business with my brother," he tells Asher.
"So why do you guys have to kidnap my son?!"
I stand behind Asher, placing my hands on his shoulder so he won't leave me.
"Stop yelling. I'm not."
"Fuck you Alex. You guys need to quit this shit and find something more important to do with your lives. Kidnapping people close to us won't solve the problem. Why are you guys even frustrated?"

"Maybe we should talk huh?" Alex chuckles. "Maybe we can trade what we have to get what we want."
I watch Asher bite his inner jaw hard. "Don't push me to blow this right through your brain.."
"Asher..." I call him.

Alex chuckles. "You didn't have to bring your baby mama here bro. Look how scared she is, it's giving me more energy."
"One more word!"
Silently, I pray mom sees my message early and comes for our rescue even though they are in Lagos. Thank goodness Asher left his phone in the car.
Alex signals to the rest so they can leave us and they do. I just keep standing behind Asher, tugging at his shirt just so he won't forget me.

"I may be able to convince Allen to let go of everything including Kimora too..."
I am grateful for that until the idiot completes his statement. "...but the conditions are you either pay us Twenty million pounds or simply hand your baby mama over to us. After all you don't need her right? You denied her. I swear when I heard that I concluded you were a big disgrace to..."

Asher sends him a punch on his face, which forcefully pushes him to the ground far away from us.
"Get on my back Karen," he tells me as he tucks the guns into his pockets.
I don't even think twice about getting on to his back. When I do, he runs fast towards a wall and starts climbing on it with the heavy me on his back.
"They're escaping!" Alex yells while on the floor.

"They're coming," I whisper to Asher. "Are you strong, baby?"
"Yeah. I'm cool, trust me." He finally climbs over and then I hear the sound of a gunshot. Asher falls over with me, groaning. He holds his left upper arm in pain.

"Go outside and check!" Alex commands.

"Asher? Oh my God. Damn..." I kneel in front of him.
I'm so confused on what to do.
He gets up immediately and pulls me up. "We gotta go Karen. We've got no time."

He holds on to me, pulling me along until we get to a place that looks really lonely. Already, we've jumped out of the maze so we are outside.
There is this iron stuff on the floor.

"What are we gonna do?" I ask. He walks up to it and lifts it up. It is actually a bunker.
"We should stay under," he tells me, closing it back and holding on to his bleeding arm. I hold it up for him to go in first before I do.
I close it back and go down the ladder.

Asher is on the floor, groaning.
"Chill, I gotchya," I tell him and take off my transparent white jacket. I tie it really hard around his arm to reduce the bleeding. "I'm so so sorry this has to happen. Come on, rest." I sit beside him and rest his head on my laps. "Lie straight."

He does so without hesitation. I watch him scrunch his face and groan.
"Asher I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault. This is my problem too."

I sight a water bottle at the end of the bunker. "Hold on. I'll check if there's any liquid in that bottle."

He sits up while I go check the bottle. I pick it up and it's heavy. I walk up to Asher with it.
"Come on, drink up," I tell him.
"No, you have something ok? I'm good."

"Please?" I plead, uncovering the bottle and pouring the water into the cover. "Here you go." He keeps drinking while I watch him. He gets his mouth off and I drop the bottle on the floor.

"You should sleep," I say. "Don't worry. We'll be fine, we just have to stay safe for now and make sure everywhere is calm before we go look for where they hid Royal," I tell him. "Hmm?"

He nods.
I sit back down and rest my back on the floor and place his head on my lap. He closes his eyes and I rub his hair. My eyes move to where his B mark is under his eyes and I remember that first day he apologized to me.

Soon I sleep off again and by the time we wake up, we find ourselves tied to a pillar with the rest of the crew tied up except Ashton and Kim whom we haven't seen.

The whole of the X-radicals are surrounding us. I wonder what is keeping Mom from coming to our rescue.

"I know you all are with weapons so drop them," Allen says.
"Shut your stupid mouth—" Asher tries saying but I cut him short.
"Asher..." I whisper to him even though I can't see him because we are tied with our backs against the pillar opposite each other. "Everyone needs to drop it. I had my mom call the cops, they d not have to see us with weapons," I whisper as low as I can. Thank God the rivals watching us are not so close so they cannot hear us.

"Drop your weapons for the last time!" Allen yells.

The whole crew whom I can see are just staring at us for an instruction.
"Drop them," Asher instructs.

"You'll use your hands to," Allen says and orders his stupid minions to untie us so we can get all our weapons off. They come to us one after the other, pointing guns at our heads.
