"Praise? Are you crazy? That's someone's property! How can you be this selfish? And Karen is your best friend! The three of us are best friends! Why don't you get your eyes somewhere else? On someone else!" Zara yells at him.

"But Zara, I've been there for her. That douche left her and I was there the whole time!" He tells her.

"Can't you get it? You will only complicate her life, her relationship is already complicated. Why do you want to make it worse?! If you actually get to marry her, which I know is never possible, you will only make Royal get so much affected by it because you and Karen may make other babies and only Royal will have a different dad. C'mon bestfriend, give it up. No matter how cool I may sound now, I still haven't changed. I'm the feisty Zara you've always known since highschool."

Praise lets out a sigh. "I don't have interest in some one else..."

"Then try to. I'm sure the girl destined to be yours isn't Karen."

"But do you think Karen will let Asher back into her life?" he asks, hoping to get the reply he wants.

"If she is the same Karen back in high school then she wouldn't let him but if motherhood has changed her then I can never guess and even if she should, it'll be hard. You know what?" She rests her hands on Praise's shoulders. "She will let him back in her life."

"Why do you think so?" He covers up his fears.

"She doesn't want bad for her baby and most definitely, she'll want Asher to stay with them."

"But why? She can't even stand his name."

"Trust me, Royal will want to live with his Dad and Mom together and you know the both of them are ready to do anything for their baby." She only tries to discourage Praise. "Just forget about them." She twists her lips to the side.

She gets her hands off his shoulders. "You can wait here for me, I'll just order pizza in case Dylan gets back." She walks inside.

Praise feels all left alone.

"So basically Mom wants me to switch school but Kayden will still attend Victoria High," Kayla tells me sadly, pushing her glasses up. "I just wish this Junior WAEC wouldn't end. I will miss my friends."

"You'll be fine, I trust. When's your exam ending?" I ask.

"Next week Monday. So apparently, I have five days, plus the weekend, to stay with my friends."

"Yeah, I know. Y'all can visit yourselves," I suggest.

"My friends? They aren't even the outgoing type of people. My case is even the worst."

"Mom don't let you go out?" I blink severally.

"Except when I attend extension classes, which Ambrose drops me off. Like, I'm caged. Kayden gets to do all he wants." She rolls her eyes.

"Buh why?"

"Doesn't want what happened to you to happen to me. She said it was hard for them to get through all the shame but still had to."

I rest my forehead on my palm. "That's crappy. Look, I was only stupid and I know you learned from my mistake so why'd you wanna do shit I did? Infact, I was eager to do allat cause she was being over protective and thought talking to me 'bout stuffs like that would only corrupt me. It's good you go out there and see the world the way you see it instead of being stuck up and burying yo head in books." I shrug.

"THANK YOU SIS. If only Mom can understand this then count me to be the happiest teenager on Earth! Like damn! This house is tiring!" She says in frustration.
