Hadley
Packing sucked.
I never realized it before, probably because I never had a lot of stuff to worry about, but packing absolutely, one hundred percent sucked. It had taken some debate, but finally they agreed I could help pack up my room if I sat down and got one of them when I needed to move something.
I glanced up from my current box. I was trying to fit my shirts into it. It was a gamble if they would all make it. Caspian really outdid himself on our shopping spree. I noticed Kent stride down the hallway, looking determined but overwhelmed. I held back a snicker. Watching Kent try to organize this massive exodus was slightly entertaining. I think Isaac and Finn were being difficult on purpose.
"Are you done with that one?" Peter asked, popping his head into my room. I glanced at the stuffed box and nodded. It was as good as it was going to get.
I'd been packing for a while now, and still didn't feel like I was making a dent. I sighed, taking in all the other clothes that needed to be packed. Why the hell did I let them buy me so much?
Peter grabbed the box, giving me a sweet smile before heading back out. That was one upside to this whole thing. I was restricted to sitting down, so I didn't have to do any heavy lifting. I'd packed quite a few boxes, but at least I didn't have to carry any of them down the stairs.
I started setting up the next box, trying not to think about things too much. But like always, that was easier said than done. I could tell the guys were worried. The nightmare had everyone on edge, including me.
Every glimpse I caught of them in the hall helped reassure me that they were all fine. Joe rolled over and licked my hand, yanking me out of my thoughts. I smiled down at him as I gave him the belly rubs he was asking for. He didn't have any problem so far with moving. I don't think he had ever been this well off. His coat was shiny and soft for once, and he was starting to get a nice round belly.
I lounged beside Joe and glanced around my room, taking a small break. I couldn't help but be sad about leaving this place, even if we got to come back. It felt like everything was changing again. I just got used to being here, with them, and not freaking out over every little thing, and now everything will be different.
That was one thing that the nightmare showed me. I really cared for them. It was as exciting as it was terrifying. I had never felt like this about anyone and now there were seven guys in my life that I wanted to stay in my life. As if sensing my internal thoughts, a familiar curly haired ginger slipped into my room with a mischievous glint to his gaze.
