Jade Aurora
He agreed. That's all that ran through my head. Steve was coming with me to Asgard. I don't think I could go without him. Plus, I would've kicked his ass if he didn't agree, but it would been more likely I had a breakdown.
"Jade?" His voice snapped me from my thoughts. I turned my head and looked at him "Yeah Steve?" He came and sat on the edge of the bed next to me. "You know, I'm never going to get used to you calling me Steve. I'm a little more accustomed to Rogers or asshole."
I look at my lap and chuckle "The good old days huh?" Steve nods, taking my hand in his "I'd say we get along a little better now." I lean my head on his shoulder, smiling softly "Yeah. I'd say so."
His hand rests on my thigh as he kisses my forehead. "I can't believe I have you back." I sigh contently, just enjoying the bliss of this moment "I can't believe I'm back." The moment was so peaceful and so perfect. Meaning someone had to come in and interrupt.
"Guys! Loki and Thor are waiting!" Sam called through the door. I giggled softly as I got up and grabbed my bag. "Hopefully on Asgard I can actually have some alone time with you." Steve says attaching his shield to his back with his bag in hand.
I place my hands on his chest and get up on my tiptoes, my face inches from his. "I think I'd like that very much." I placed a soft kiss on his jaw before I turned and walked out the door.
I wore a simple oversized sweater, faded boyfriend jeans and some black high top converse. Yeah. I was going to Asgard and I was dressed casually. My sword and mask were in my bag.
Steve walked nervously beside me. "What's wrong Steve? You nervous over a little interplanet traveling?" Steve glanced at me as we walked "You could say that." I took his large hand in my small one. "I've been to every planet in the galaxy but Asgard. We tend to tended to stay away from them. But it's going to be fine. It's my family after all."
Steve kisses the top of my hand and smiles at me. I could tell he worried over me. But I knew I was going to get better and beat the crap out of Hydra. "Loki doesn't think this will take any longer than two months."
I smile at him "Good. Because I have become very fond of you mortals. I don't think I could stay away to long." Steve chuckled adorably "Well good thing you're bringing one of us with you."
We walk into the living room where the other Avengers were waiting. Tony looked upset along with Sam and Bucky. The rest were talking quietly on the couch. Thor patted Steve on the shoulder "You ready my friend?"
Steve sucked in a deep breath "As I'll ever be." Tony taps my shoulder. I set my bag down and turn to him. "Here kid." he handed me a small wrapped box. I took it carefully "Tony, you didn't have to."
Tony shrugs, a small smile tugged at his lips. "Yeah I did. We barely get you back and you're already heading off for an adventure. This is just something I think you'll need." I open the package and see a sleek object. A phone. I pull the phone out "Thank you Tony. But I don't think it will work on Asgard."
Tony shakes his head, tapping the screen of the phone "It actually will call any phone on Earth. That way we can keep in touch with you guys. No matter how far." I smile and fling my arms around his neck "Thank you so much Tony. I promise to call every night."
When I pull away Tony winks at Steve "And if you don't call I'll assume the two of you are otherwise 'entertained'." I blush as does Steve. Loki groaned, covering his ears "I prefer we don't discuss this topic. Especially when it involves my daughter." Tony shrugs innocently, a smile on his face "Sorry Rock of Ages."
An arm slings around my shoulder and I hear Sam say in a joking time "Come on Jade. You're an ex-spy, ex-assassin and Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. You've probably slept with a few guys before."
I roll my eyes "One, who said I was an ex anything. Two, Directing S.H.I.E.L.D was beyond boring. Three, never speak of what you just spoke of again or I shall rip your vocal cords out and chop your balls off and shove them up your vagina. Are we clear?"
Sam steps away, his hands raised in surrender as I fought off flashbacks. Steve rubbed my back which helped keep my demons at bay. "Uh-I'm sorry Sam." I muttered.
Sam waved it off. "It's fine." I hugged them all goodbye and walked out to the patio with Thor, Loki and Steve. Tony stood in the door frame. "We're gonna miss you kid."
I smile at him as I see the Bifrost coming down towards us. "Don't. When we return I'll be me again. I'm getting Jade back." Tony smiled as we are consumed in a rainbow of colors. I gripped Steves hand as we shot up with unimaginable speed. Stars and planets flew past in the blink of an eye. Not a moment later we're in a gold dome with large gears and a man with a huge sword standing in the middle.
I do a 360, completely awestruck. "As-fricking-gard."
