Love this song.
Steve Rogers
Captain America
"Good job Rogers, Barton." An agent said as they put the unconscious woman in a chair, cuffing her hands and feet to it. It felt wrong to do that to someone. "Sir?" I asked. "Is that really necessary?" The agent glanced at the woman "Im afraid it is. We know nothing about her besides the fact she may be working with Loki. She could be very dangerous."
I cross my arms "She created a ladder out of ice in less than a second and she claims she's Asgardian." He nods "I'm not gonna press her." He goes into the room and sits across from her as she begins to stir, Barton and I watched through the window/mirror at the interrogation.
Her mask covered most of her face but she had pale features. Her eyes flew open, afraid and alert. "Where am I?" She saw her restraints and began to shake in fear, she fought them. "Calm down." The Agent said in a kind voice. "It's okay."
The woman's Asgardian accent rang "Okay? I am chained to a chair! Where am I mortal?" He set a file on the table as he spoke "I am Agent Triplet. You are at one of my facilities. We have no intention to harm you."
The woman scoffed "I've heard that one before." Trip watched her closely "What is your name?" The woman shifted in her chair, her hands shaking slightly "I am Aurora." Her voice sounded weak, from fear most likely.
Trip nodded "Well Aurora. We believe you are working for someone we don't get along very well with. His name is Loki. Have you heard of him?" Aurora nodded, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Indeed. I know of him. But I do not work for him."
Trip folded his hands on the table "Are you sure?" She nodded "Positive." Trip leaned back "I believe you. But I am required to remove your mask for your file."
Aurora flinched back. "No! You mustn't!" Trip looked curious "I heard from my agents that you feared showing your face. Why?" Auroras voice was quiet "I-I wear it for many reasons. None of which you may know." Trip looked at his file than back up at her "I'm sorry. Your mask must be removed."
Aurora began thrashing around in the chair as he reached to remove it. He managed to grab it but Aurora hid her face behind her hair. An agent that was present in the room lifted her head forcefully and moved her hair to the side.
I nearly feel over when I saw her face. It was Jade. Alive? Breathing? Here? Alive? Asgardian? Loki? Alive? I barged into the room, Trip was gobsmacked. My hands shook as I slowly walked towards her. Tears ran down her face as she looked away from me.
There were scars on her neck, but all I could see was her beauty. "Jade?" I dared to ask, my voice unsure. She only moved her head further. Trip left along with the agents. I guess they figured we needed time alone.
I came and kneeled next to her chair, releasing her from her cuffs. The only move she made was to rub her raw wrists. I watched her closely as I asked "H-How are you alive? You were dead for two years."
Jade flinched at the sound of my voice. "I-I-" she started with a shaking voice, the Asgardian accent gone, "never was dead." I ran my hands through my hair, a habit I had formed. All these years and she wasn't dead. "Where were you?"
Jade still refused to look at me "B-Berlin, Germany." I moved closer to her but she got up and stood behind the chair "Please-don't. I can't-" tears ran down her face. It broke me. I stood "Jade, please."
She shook her head "I'm-I'm dangerous. I've changed." I take a single step closer "What do you mean?" She moved further away from me "I-I can't." She looked truly afraid of me. And it broke my heart. Her eyes shine with fear and sadness. "Why are you afraid of me?" Jade shied away and spoke in a soft voice "They used you against me. They'll hurt you."
I furrowed my brow and took another step closer "Who uses me against you?" She closed her eyes and whispered to herself "It's just another hallucination, Jade. He's not here. Dad will wake you in a moment and it will be over."
It broke my heart seeing her like this. "My name is Jade Aurora. I am 26 years old. I was an Avenger. I left to save the city. They had me. I was there for two years. My father has found me. My mother is dead." She said this to herself over and over.
I furrowed my brow worriedly "Jade? Who had you?" She had her back in the corner of the room "They had me." I reached out to touch her but she flinched away "Hydra." She finished. Hydra had made her like this. And they would pay.
