The plane ride wasn't so bad. After a couple hours I managed to fall asleep, although uncomfortably. I was jolted awake by the rough landing, but apparently Max wasn't. He slept through it. Silas was awake, though, and preparing to get up. A few more minutes of being strapped into the seat, the woman over the intercom said, "Alright guys, you can start getting up and exiting the plane!" She faked a cheery voice.
Silas and I grabbed our things, kicking Max awake at the last second. Right after he woke up, we began to leave. "Huh..?" He asked, still half asleep. "Wait... guys, wait up!" He scrambled out of his seat, getting tripped up by the seat belt, and hauled his luggage out of the overhead compartments. He raced after us, as we were already out of the plane, tripped over his own feet as he went. I laughed at him, like any great friend would.
"You guys are dorks," A female voice said from behind us. The three of us turned to face her. She had long dirty blonde hair streaked with purple, sparkling sky blue eyes, and a playful expression. "No offense, but I expected a bit more of an alpha, gamma, and delta." She smiled, laughing to herself.
"And you are...?" Max asked. I elbowed him in the side for being rude.
"What would my mother say if she were here?" I linked him.
"She'd probably beat me."
"Exactly."
"You two are idiots," Silas informed us. "She just told us her name, and you weren't listening."
I turned my gaze back to her. "I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention. What was your name again?"
"Oh," She said. "Um, Nala. Nala Murphy." I nodded.
"It's nice to meet you, Nala. If you don't mind, could you get some breakfast before we hit the road?"
She seemed surprised to be asked that. Raphael isn't the same kind of alpha I am. He's more of a 'I'm going to do this' instead of 'can I do this'. "U-um, yeah, definitely. There's a fast food restaurant next door." She offered.
"I don't care what you dufuses want, I'm getting a burger. Is there a Burger King anywhere nearby?" Surprisingly, it wasn't Max who said it, it was Silas.
"I thought you liked pie!" Max exclaimed.
"What I like varies depending on the day and my mood."
"Jeez, you're like a woman." Nala snickered at Max's words.
"To answer your question, yes, there is a Burger King nearby. If you'll get in the car, I'll drive you to it." We gratefully got into the car -Max and Silas in the back, me in the front- and she drove us to Burger King. Six whopper sandwiches later (which I paid for), we were all full.
"Thank you, Nala." I told her, the other two following my lead. Again, she looked surprised to be thanked.

Laura, Kayla, and Dusty brought us outside to a picnic table to talk. "So, what'd you bring us here for?" Jason asked.
"That's rude and you know it. Be nice." I told him. He rolled his eyes at me. I stuck my tongue out at him like a child.
Dusty cleared his throat. "We brought you here to talk about your brother and the situation at the hospital."
"You make it sound like something's wrong." Aidan told him, fear blooming in his eyes.
"What Dusty means to say," Kayla began, glaring at her mate. "is that we need to know what all happened with him and the girl, Lily. I understand that they're mates?"
