Alex

We were woken up that morning by Chris pushing Aidan off the bed. It wasn't an unusual thing. Actually I woke up to Aidan's groaning/whining from the floor. "Chris, Aidan, can you be civilized for ONCE? I'm trying to sleep!"
Aidan just grumbled in response. But by that time, I was too awake to go back to sleep. It was sad, really. I really wanted to sleep...
"Come on, Red. We're going to town today, remember?" I covered my face with the comforter. "No. Alex, it's time to get up." Jason yanked the blanket back and picked me up, hauling me out of the bed. I groaned, but complied. He set me down.

"What time is it?"

"Nine. I say we go out at ten, it gives us an hour to kill."

"K. What do you wanna do?"

"Let's explore the pack before we leave. We keep getting distracted every time we try to go."

"After breakfast, thank you very much." Chris interjected. We just laughed and agreed before going to get ready for the day.

Jason raised an eyebrow at the leggings and loose-ish T-shirt I was wearing. I just shrugged and grabbed the grey jacket I'd taken from Half Moon, which had been washed, but was still torn in places and touched with stains all over. "What? I wanna be comfortable if we're gonna walk all around the pack." Laura had kindly gotten clothes for all of us, though the ones she gave me were just a bit too big. The ones I was wearing came from Lily, who was more than willing to lend them to me.

Chris and Jason took the lead going to breakfast, Aidan and I trailing behind them. But, just as we were leaving the guest floor of the pack house, I smelled it again. I'd smelled the scent before in various places around the pack. It smelled like sandalwood and forests, which in my opinion is a great combination. "Alex, you alright?" Aidan inquired, stopping for a moment. He gazed at me curiously. I quickly reassured him and continued on to breakfast.

Today was a self-serving day, as it was a Wednesday. Wednesdays and Sundays were always a self-serve day in every pack, because a lot of the staff members go to church and pray to the Moon Goddess to give them strength to get through the days to come. It's mandatory pack rules from the Council of Elders, located in Washington D.C. That's where they can be closest to the people in charge of the human world.

I didn't eat much. A small bowl of a cereal called 'Lucky Charms' and that was it; I was full. Oh the joys of having a small stomach! "Alex, you sure you don't want any more? You've gotta eat something."

"I did eat," I protested. "And I'm not hungry anymore."

"Red, all you ate was a few mouthfuls of cereal. Come on, just a little more? For me?" He gave me his best puppy dog eyes. I couldn't resist.

"You're lucky I love you, Jace." I told him, stealing his eggs. He and I split them, and I ate until I physically could not anymore. It'd probably come in handy later. As of the moment, I felt a little sick to my stomach. All the years of malnourishment made my stomach shrink, so I couldn't eat as much as a regular wolf. For now. "Boys, hurry up. I wanna go out soon, and we have to go find Jonah."

Chris looked up, making eye contact with me, and moved his hand infuriatingly slow, trying to joke around and push my buttons. Well, two can play that game. "I'll be right back. Bathroom." I got up, making sure to walk past Chris on my way there. He had a stupid smirk on his face. So I smacked him on the side of the head. What else are siblings for?

"Ow!"

I snickered as I walked away. Hopefully they'd be finished by the time I got back.

They weren't finished when I got back. Well, Jason and Aidan were. Chris was taking his sweet time. "Chris," I addressed him.
