THE NEXT DAY

*Im on ambo today barely slept last night I couldn't I was worried about jay I will be till he comes home*

Casey: captain

Me: what

Kelly: God you're in a mood today

Casey: I was wondering if I can be the officer in charge today

Me: you are the officer incharge till I say I wanna be also I'm on ambo today

Casey: oh okay

Brett: captain I've checked on the ambo we are low on some stuff can be go to med to get it ?

*Thats when I froze a look of horror came on my face I didn't know what to do I couldn't move will, he's gonna be there *

Brett: lyla?

* At this point everyone was looking at me I could barely get words from my brain to my mouth tears were on the verge on coming out*

Kidd: captain ?

*Brett and Stella took me to my office*

Me: *in sobs* jay...he left for war *cries*

Brett: oh hun

*Stella and Sylvie pulled me into a hug as I sobbed into them *

Stella: he's gonna come back just fine waiting to see his soon to be wife

*We reached the scene the door was u locked we went in an old lady was on the floor still concious tho*

Me: ma'am what happened?

Lady: I was walked and then I slipped cuz the rug didn't have any grips and it couldn't get up my foot was paining

Brett: uhh it looks broken but as u fell just as a precaution we will put you on the back board with a brace on

Lady: okay

Me: you'll be alright, we will take you to med

Lady: thank you

*Brett out the lady in the back of the ambo as I drove we were 2 minutes away from med when it struck me I will have to face will again*

Brett: lyla watch out

*I got back into my senses as we where about to strike a tree *

Me: brace get down hold the victim and stay down, I'm sorry brett

*The ambo brushed off the tree but it was out of control it hit the wall at the ambulance bay at med *

Brett's pov

*The tree lyla yelling brace the ambo crashing*

Me: we are okay lyla are u okay?

*No response*

Me: lyla?

* I opened the back door got the old lady out and went into the ED *

Lady: is she okay?

Me: ma'am idk but we'll get u in first okay?

*As I entered the ED *

me: 74 year old lady slipped and fell possible broken foot completely concious

Maggie: okay

Me: Maggie lyla

Will: what happened to her

Me: the rig crashed at the wall she unresponsive

Will: and u left her alone ???

Me: no some paramedic are wit-

Will's pov

*I saw brett falling in front of me *

Me: get me a gurney

Maggie: truma 6

Me: I'm going to see lyla

Maggie: u can't she's close family

Me: she's my sister in law let me see her

Conner: will like a normal family member go wait

Me: she'll be okay?
