~narrator's pov~

*at that point lyla's monitor also started beeping the entire room was filling with doctors performing cpr on sylive and checking on lyla*

doc: alright move sylive up to the OR her belly is hard as a rock we missed an internal bleeding 

nurse 1: copy that doctor

rhodes: put lyla on a vent and move her up to the ICU , ill be up there to monitor her

nurse 2: yes doctor

*sylive and lyla were in critical condition  the next few hours for both and gonna be really crucial will had no idea what had happen to his soon to be sister in law the firehouse has no idea their finest EMTs were in far more danger than they thought*

AT FEW MINUTES LATER

*will came in rushing *

will: what happened where is she 

rhodes: there critical, few hours are gonna be difficult her lungs and her heart is too weak to work on its own

will: how did this happen she was fine ?

*dr rhodes told them what had happen*

will: conner will they both be okay?

rhodes: will to be very honest i really dont know

*a few hours had passed lyla's condition did not change and sylive hers was no better she was also in the ICU*

LATER IN THE  MORNING

*the entire firehouse had reached med still unaware of what had happened last night*

boden: doctor are my medics ready to come back home?

*rhodes face went blank he thought they knew what had happened , he has no choice but other than just showing them what happened*

rhodes: follow me please

*the firehouse followed the doc till the ICU*

rhodes: at night sylive coded due to some internal bleeding that went undetected and for lyla she tried to bring back sylive but when we watched the recording to see what had happened lyla was having a nightmare it intensified her condition and with performing cpr her heart and lungs are tired they need rest hence on the vent 

cruz: havent they had enough ? my god doc couldnt u be a lil more careful with both of them

boden: cruz

stella: no chief , lyla and sylive has been in and out of hospitals a lot

will: shes waking up

rhodes: coming

THEY ALL RUSHED TO LYLA'S ROOM

rhodes: lyla im gonna take this tube out okay just wait 

*rhodes pulled the tube out of her mouth*

rhodes: how do  u feel?

lyla: like ive been asleep for a long time 

rhodes: you need to rest to heal lyla 

lyla: sylive?

will: got her out of surgery 45 mins ago she should be waking up soon okay?

lyla: when can i go home?

voight: not anytime soon u are not going back to your apartment u care coming with me ill take are of u just like i did when u were 15 u need to rest with all due respect chief she will  not come back to the fire house for a month at the least 

lyla: u cant do that

boden: he can and u are doing what he said 

lyla: ugh

rhodes: alright she needs to rest voight u can take her home in a few days 

voight : okay thank you doctor 

boden: sarg thank you for coming so quick

voight: anything for her

doctor: sylive is awake 

boden: we'll come see her 

*boden and 51 went to see sylive who was feeling  a lot better but had a major abdominal  surgery and had to stay at the hospital for a few day for post OP recovery *
