*on call with major *

voight: yeah he is a detective in my unit 

major: yeah he was saying something about lyla or layla idk uh but sergeant halstead has been injured nothing too bad so he'll be still working the mission, is there any family i could call

voight: yeah uh wait ill call her

major: may i know who is the family

voight: his fiance 

major: thank you so much sergeant 

voight: yeah 

*a worried look came over hanks face, how can he tell lyla that the man she loves she let go for the sake of the country is injured will it bring her condition back ? all these thoughts baffled voight with a worried face he headed out*

kim: serg everything okay?

voight: yeah uh no

upton: serg we are family right u can tell us ?

voight: jay he was injured still gonna complete duty but i have to tell lyla and idk how to 

adam: maybe asking dr rhodes first would be better

kevin: give him a call serg its for the sake of our own

voight: yeah can one of u do that i have to tell them as soon as possible 

kim: ill do it 

*kim went in a call with the doctor as voight proceeds to leave kim called him and told that the doctor said to tell everything truthfully and keep her comforted *

MEANWHILE IN THE FIREHOUSE

casey: weird day no more calls

severide: boring 

helmen: it aint that bad and casey if u miss it so much u  can go do the blind mask drill alone 

casey : good 

boden: helmen casey severide herrman and brett a word please

*all the officers and brett went into chiefs office *

boden: lyla and sylive sit down , lieutenants close the door

helmen: everything okay chief 

boden: lyla look u are a WHO lieutenant in the fire/emt department u have incredible skills and a natural talent for fighting fi-

severide: are u planning to shift her somewhere else

lyla: severide dont cut people off 

boden: see thats what im talking about and for you sylive with years of experience working with gabby and may other paramedics it makes u near to the same level as lyla including you also served WHO and still do 

casey: woah news to me

herrman: captain did u know about this

lyla: i did 

boden : anyways i have two WHO trained emt in the house who are going away for 2.5 months to australia 

lyla: what why 

brett: im guessing it's a WHO assignment,  its my first 

lyla: yeah congratulations but chief jays coming back in 1 month 2 weeks thats so not fair to me

boden: i understand

*lyla yells*

lyla: no you dont none of you dont 

voight: lyla calm down

boden: serg anything i can do for you

voight: uh yeah 

lyla: oh no he cant cuz no chief i refuse to go 

brettl: u cant tho u took a blood oath lyla

casey: can we leave 

severide : casey wait oml

boden: serg ?

voight: yeah lyla i got a call from major 

lyla: what

voight: jay he's injured, not too bad he'll still complete the mission 

lyla: oh look he might come back in a casket but no ill be in australia

boden: lyla i have no choice

brett: its okay if u dont wanna go

lyla: thank you hank im sure he'll make it out alive dont worry okay ill call u everyday i promise

voight: bye kid

lyla: its a blood oath sylive and i guess we are going to australia

herrman : what is a blood oath 

severide: its a unbreakable oath

helmen: u prick yourself take an oath which the person tells you then let the blood seep into another persons hand but we took on in which we let it seep into a cup 

casey: painful 

brett: no not much 

boden: okay so are you guys going to australia

brett: yes

lyla: casey you are incharge, chief let kidd go to ambo get a rotator for 81 let casey have a taste in real officer duties

boden: oh of course

casey: not fair 

boden: alright off yall go and lyla sylive go home pack you have a fight to catch

sylive: good first day back

lyla: thank you chief
