"I'm Rosie"

Sorry this chapter took long to update but like I promised before I wanted the chapters to be longer and that takes time so thanks for being patient.

Chapter 6: “I’m Rosie”

I watched him cup her face and gently kiss her temple. I quickly turned around and headed back in my room before the both of them saw me. I don’t know why but for some reason my heart hurt. After what happened last night I thought maybe we could be friends or even more since he kept you know. Just like 3 years ago it was all in my head.

Knock KNOCK

“Can I come?” I hear my cousin says while opening the door. “You might as well not ask if you're gonna open the door anyway” I say plastering a fake smile on my face. “Good morning to you too,” Tris says, closing my door behind him. “Am I in trouble?” I say watching Tris who looks anxious to tell me something. The only time he has that look is when there’s bad news. “Um well I talked to your dad and um he thinks it’s best if you stay with me for a couple of days or weeks”. Tris says still keeping his eyes pierced into the ground. I can’t believe that my own father picked Megan's side over mine and now he’s kicking me out. To be honest I wasn’t planning on going back to my dad’s but I couldn’t stay here with Brad possible lady friend here. Damn it. I couldn’t even stay at Callie's either. “Ari um Ari say something” Tris says gently shaking me. He was now seated on my bed next to me. “Ok I’ll stay well it’s not like I have anywhere else to go” I said. 

“How have you been?” Tris says while placing his hand on my shoulder.

“My mom is in a coma, my dad kicks me out and chooses Megan over me, and oh I almost forgot my best friends lied to me so I’m doing great you know living my best life and all that fun stuff” I said snapping at him. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to snap at you it’s just-” I try to say before Tris interrupts me with a hug.

After me and Tris had a finished talk I decided I couldn’t hide in my room all day. I needed to complete my application for UAL and find a job so I can get out of here. I quietly opened my door and looked down the hallway to see the brown headed girl was still here and she was laid on the couch in his arms. The place I wish I could be but couldn’t because I wasn’t enough. I made sure to plug my earphones in so I wouldn’t have to talk to them.

“Hey” I heard her say through my earphones that wasn’t playing anything. “I don’t think she can hear you, she has earphones on” I heard Brad say while I began making myself a cup of tea. I took my phone out to see I had a text from Callie and Skylar saying how sorry they were and 4 more missed calls from my dad. I decided to text Callie and Skylar in the group chat because I miss them.

Ariana: It’s ok I forgive you and let’s all hang out soon. I just need time.

I felt someone tap me on my shoulder. I turn to see a round face girl with black hair behind me. Her hair was down to her back and her eyes were dark. She wore a black oversized shirt that I noticed was Brad’s because he used to make me wear it and black tights. “Hello you must be Tris' cousin”  she says while holding a hand out for me to shake. I quickly shake her hand and look up to see Brad watching us. I could see the worry in his eyes like he was praying I wouldn’t mess this up for him. But just like him I’m going to forget everything. “I’m Ariana” I say plastering a friendly smile on my face. “I’m Rosie, I'm Brad’s girlfriend,” she says proudly. I felt my heart that was already shattered break even more. I mean why wouldn’t she be proud to have someone so wonderful. “It was nice to meet you but I have to go run some errands” I say putting my cup of tea I had just finished in the sink. “It was a nice meeting you” she's while heading back to the couch to snuggle in his arms. I headed back into my room to go change. I watch him place a gentle kiss on her head and her running her fingers through his hair like I once did.
