{Y/N's Pov}
Even with Ray's lullaby, I had nightmares that night.
I hear a clock ticking.
Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock...
Demons circled around Conny.
Tick...
Tock...
They grabbed her by the neck
Tick...
Tock...
They stabbed her with the flower
Tick...
Tock...
It bloomed red. She screamed. She died.
I woke up, gasping. I looked around. I saw Emma doing the same thing. Our eyes met. I saw as much fear in her eyes as I'm sure mine had. Then I remembered that I had to make up an excuse for why I was awake.
"Y-Y/N?"
"I had a nightmare. I really shouldn't have read a horror book before bed." I explained. She nodded her head.
"What about you?" I asked her. She stiffened.
"Uh... Nothing. I had a nightmare too." She said. I nodded. I lay down again.
~~~~~~~
We walked downstairs after getting ready. Emma and I set the tables. I noticed her sad expression. I've been dealing with this for years, so I know how to keep a smile on. I cleared my throat, making Emma snap out of her thought. She looked at me, and I mouthed, Are you ok?
She blinked at me.
Then Emma heard Mom's voice. She tensed up. I remember how I used to shake everytime I heard her or saw her. Ray helped me through it though.
Norman walked into the room. He seems to be keeping his act up pretty well.
"Hi Emma! Hi Y/N! Morning!" The white-haired boy greeted.
"Morning Norman." I greeted him with a smile while Emma just trembled. He walked up to her and whispered something. I saw her struggle to smile.
Poor girl. She just found out her whole life was a lie.
I didn't notice Ray walking up to me from the side until he put a hand on my shoulder.
"Yo." He said as I yelped. I lightly elbowed him in the side as he smirked at my reaction.
"Could you not?!" I hissed at him.
"Geez I'm sorry! Anyways, good morning." He apologized. I looked at him before shaking my head. I then sighed and smiled a little.
"Yeah yeah. Morning," I said smiling in a 'You're so weird' way.
We all sat down for breakfast. As we ate, I noticed that Emma and Norman were quieter than usual. Ray noticed too. We gave each other a knowing glance.
~~~~~~~
After breakfast and testing, Ray and I went to the library, while Norman and Emma ran off somewhere. We looked around to make sure no one was listening.
"Ok, everyone else is gone, so we can talk," Ray said. We still spoke quietly in case someone came by the door.
"Yeah. So, we won't ask them what's wrong, but if they go off somewhere in the forest or in the hall, we follow them." I confirmed. That's when Ray noticed my dark circles under my eyes. He frowned.
