I hope you guys have been liking my little side stories! They're super fun to write. Of course, any fanfic can be fun to write if the story that they are based on is good! I hope you enjoy this new chapter! (>^-^)>

I woke up the next morning to a beautiful sunrise. They really like to make us think that we are living a dream life. Yet behind all the beautiful scenery and the good food and warm beds, the real reason behind this orphanage is so dark.

I walked downstairs, spotting Emma near the tables. Unlike me, the peppy girl was always bright-eyed in the mornings.

"Good morning Emma," I greeted the orange-haired girl. She turned to me and smiled. I could see a lot of happiness in her light green eyes, but behind it was a cloud of despair. My E/C eyes have had that cloud for a while. I'm not saying I don't have any fun here. I do. Playing with the kids is great fun. But there's always a cloud of sadness whenever I spend time with them, knowing that at any point, one of them could be ripped out of our lives, and have their life ripped out of them.

"Morning Y/N!" She saw Norman walked down the hallway. "Morning Norman!"

He smiled and put his hand up to wave. The white-haired boy's eyes seemed to have an even deeper cloud behind them than Emma's. He still gave his best effort to be happy, so that the little kids wouldn't worry.

"Oh hey! Morning!"

Ray came up behind him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Morning, Norman." He said. I saw Norman tense up. Emma walked to her chair to go sit down. Ray came up to me.

"Morning, Y/N." He said casually. Ray's deep green eyes had always had that cloud, so I thought it was just normal. But I've seen times where he is honestly having fun. The cloud probably diminishes in those moments because he might forget about the dark secrets. Even if just for a small amount of time, I loved seeing him happy.

I smiled, nodding. "Morning!" And we sat down for breakfast.

The four of us walked to the forest. Emma turned back and looked at the three of us. I knew she was going to ask. Gotta be ready...

"So? What happened with the rope? Did you find out who the informant is?" The orange-head asked us. Ray and I glanced at each other briefly. Norman tilted his head to the side, looking anxious.

"Actually..."

"Oh, that? It's me." He said. I gasped, widening my eyes. Ray's dark green eyes darted in my direction, before looking back at the other two.

"I'm the one who's been leaking info." He stated, his voice as monotone as usual.

"E-eh?! It was you?!" Emma shrieked, pointing at him with a shocked expression. I just looked at my feet and stayed silent. I needed to think enough sad thoughts and stare for long enough that my eyes at least water.

"Oh, uh- sorry 'bout that reaction, but I don't really understand, so can you please-"

"Oh, uhh right!" Norman shot his hand up in the air. He seemed just as anxious about this situation. Ray just laughed a bit as they both freaked out. I stood a little bit off to the side, still focused on my feet.

"So, Ray is Mom's spy, but he's not our enemy. And the reason why he was helping mom this entire time was for our sake?" Emma said with a contemplative voice.

"Yeah" Norman confirmed. Ray turned away.

"The truth is I was planning on telling you, as soon as you came back from the gate, in fact. But you left Little Bunny behind. And mentioned bringing everyone with, so I had no choice but to hold off. Then mom found out, which meant I had to work around all that. While also handling your reckless actions. I figured it was best to stay quiet and keep things under control," The black-haired boy explained.
