The first task is coming up and there's been word of dragons. At least that's what Cedric told me that Harry told him. But I don't know if anyone should believe what Harry says, he's probably exaggerating for attention. Cedric and I are friends, we've gotten closer this year especially. We're just friends of course, although he is a rather charming boy. He's polite, something that Potter could take note on.
It's obvious to everyone that Harry and I feel the same way towards each other. I never had an issue with him until third year, I have always gone to the quidditch practices since Oliver likes to show me all of his skills and he's lucky that I love him enough to watch even though I don't really understand his obsession with quidditch. Anyways Harry once complained that I was being distracting, Oliver brushed it off because he was too busy admiring Harry's 'raw talent' or whatever, but he would constantly make faces at me and mutter things about me to his friends in the hall.
I really don't understand why he has such an issue with me, but there's plenty of reasons why I find Harry an irritating arse, and that's just one. He is able to get under my skin so easily, he's the only person who can do that to me. Usually I can brush things off but when it comes to him I just need to fire back at him. All he needs is to be put in his place.
Usually Oliver is pretty overprotective but he really doesn't seem to take any notice to Harry bullying me. Not that I actually take it or anything. I make sure I get the last word each time he starts something. He's so easy to fluster it's pathetic. His vocabulary consist of "brilliant" "erm" and remarks about him being the chosen one. He's quite full of himself and he does a mighty fine job of making sure people know it.
Lately Harry's been dealing with a lot of hate, more than usual. I'm not opposed to it of course.
"Hey take one of these." A boy says while tugging on my robes to get my attention. I rip my arm away and scowl at him before peaking my head into the box he's holding.
"What are these?" I ask, taking one out and fiddling around with it.
"They're pins, have you never seen a pin before?" He asks impatiently a if he's got hundreds of people lined up to get one.
I drop it back in the box and snatch the one he was holding out of his hand just to piss him off a little "Fine, Malfoy I'll take your stupid pin. But only because it's at the expense of Potter." I say while reading it.
The pin is magic and will switch between sayings. The first being,
Support Cedric
And the second being,
Potter stinks
Now, if it were me I would have come up with a better insult than that. Either way, I clip it onto my robes and continue on my way, weirdly I see Malfoy climbing into the tree in the middle of the courtyard. But coming from him it's not that surprising, he's probably trying to oversee all of the students just to pick out who he's going to torment today. Pathetic really, has he got nothing better to do? Once I spot Harry walking a few feet across from me I know exactly who Malfoy's target is going to be.
"Hey! What's this?" Harry asks grabbing at my pin.
"Wouldn't you like to know." I tease.
"Wood, could you not be an insufferable dunce for five minutes of your life?" He complains, while reaching for my pin again. I move back to make sure he can't touch me before answering.
"That was a big word there, Potter! Where did you learn it?" I ask sounding impressed.
"Oh shove off already." He mutters as he pushes past me. I laugh at him along with most of the students who are standing around.

Harry doesn't stand a chance.
I'm sitting with Hermione who is so nervous for Harry that she is shaking, I keep trying to tell her that he'll most likely be fine but she doesn't really seem to believe me. It's probably the lack of enthusiasm.
As his name is announced he comes out looking terrified. He walks slowly around the arena as if he were to be quiet then the dragon wouldn't see him. But it sure sees him, it begins to approach Harry. He sort of freezes up and just stares at the thing, practically asking it to attack him.
The beast takes a big swing with its scaly tale and sends Harry across the arena, hitting the ground harshly. He doesn't move for a second and for a reason I couldn't tell, my heart begins racing. I sit up straighter to get a better look. That could easily kill someone.
Hermione covers her eyes and asks me to tell her if he's ok. I watch closely at him until he barley lifts his arm to help himself up. I don't need to tell Hermione that he's ok because the crowd starts cheering so loudly.
He starts to stand up and go for his wand but the dragon takes another hit, smashing him into the rock wall. This time he's able to hold on to the wall and hope that he has some luck. The dragon continues to try and murder him with a variety of different tactics. It even breathes fire to try and stop him.
Hermione yells as powerfully as she can for Harry to use his wand, I guess they had a plan or something. He pulls out his wand and says something that nobody can hear. Then his Firebolt arrives at his side. He mounts the broom quickly before the dragon can take another shot at him.
Harry tries to fly up just so he can get away but the dragon is able to break free from its chain and follow him far from the arena. One thing I will admit is that Harry is a very good flyer. The two a fly out of the sight of the crowd. Hermione looks back at where the professors are sitting and demands that they help Harry, she's got a point. Nobody can even see him to make sure he's still alive. If one kid were to die in this competition it better not be the damn savior of the world. She begs and pleads for them to do so little as to check to make sure he's alright but they have to deny her request over and over until there's no use in her asking anymore.
