As I begin back down the boys staircase I bump into someone, probably because I was looking down.
"What are you doing over here?" Oliver asks protectively.
"Oh nothing, I was just helping my friend." I reassure him. I guess I'm starting to see Harry as more of a mutual and less of an enemy now.
"Really?" He asks raising an eyebrow. "Actually, don't answer that question. I'll see for myself. Which 'friend' are you talking about?" He demands. It would be stupid to lie to him because he'll only become more angry.
"Harry." I mutter. He looks surprised but he begins to run up the stairs. I follow him, of course to make sure he doesn't do something that will get him expelled.
The boys, just like the girls pretty much know where everyone's dorm is. He pounds on Harry's door rudely. I hit him on the arm and give him a look.
The door swings open. "Oh hi Oliver." He says inquisitively.
"What were you just doing dressed like that??" Oliver asks, his face becoming beat red.
He's standing in the way of Harry so I can't see him until I move over a little. He must have been going to bed because his shirt is in his hand rather than on his body. It startles me a little, I mean he doesn't look bad necessarily. Once he sees I'm there too he quickly throws it on.
"Do either of you care to tell me what's going on?" Oliver demands.
Harry gives me a look pleading me not to tell the real reason why I was in there.
"I was helping him with homework." I blurt out.
"And you needed to be up here to do that? How about the library or the common room?" Oliver questions.
"Yes, someone could've copied off of us." Harry adds.
That is about the worst excuse he could've come up with. Bloody idiot.
"Well it was a quiz that became homework if we didn't finish in class, so um yeah that's it." I finish.
He clearly doesn't believe us. "I'll be watching you two. Especially you Potter." He warns, as if I'm afraid of his empty threats. Harry on the other hand might be a little intimidated. I wont tell him that he has nothing to worry about though, it's funny to see him all flustered.

Oliver hasn't been able to leave me alone for the past few days, he follows me around and asks me what I'm doing every blood second of the day. The only time I can lose him is in the halls since they're so crowded and everyone is getting to class anyways. At least that's what I thought until I feel a tight grip on my wrist.
"Oliver I told you to stop following me- oh hi Harry."
He doesn't bother saying anything back, instead he pulls me out of the large group of students swarming to their classes and into a more empty hallway.
"I know you said that it's not going to work out but I can't be the only guy at the ball looking like a fool. Especially when most people's eyes will be on me! The ball is in a few days, just help me tonight and then we can be done." He begs.
"I can't, Oliver would never leave my side if he found out that I was helping you again. And what kind of fool answers the door without a shirt on?" I ask while hitting him on the arm lightly.
"I didn't think you would be there." He mutters. "Please Kennedy, I'll return the favor." He suggests.
"I told you that I don't want this to turn into us returning each other's favors endlessly." I cross my arms.
"Fine then I won't return the favor. Whatever you want, I just need help please." He's acting very childish and it's sort of ticking me off but at the same time making it harder for me to refuse.
I grab him by the collar of his shirt and bring his face close to mine "You mustn't tell anyone, you got that?" I question intimidatingly. He nods as his eyes widen and his face goes pale. I let go of the fabric "Alright then, what time should I come?" I ask.
He brushes himself off and clears his throat before speaking. "Oh erm I guess around 9:00 would be good." He suggests. "And I saw Cedric talking to this girl yesterday I thought I would just tell you." He adds.
I feel my face start to burn red "Will you quit it with that?" I demand.
"You don't have to believe me, but when he breaks your very cold heart don't come crying to me." He says throwing his hands up in the air.
"Oh shove off." I say while beginning to walk away "And for your information I have a very warm and welcoming heart as long as you aren't a git who continues to piss me off without even trying." I shout back.
"Wait, we're still practicing together tonight though. Right?" He asks catching up with me.
"Unfortunately." I retort.
"Let me get those for you." He says reaching for my books.
"My finger isn't broken anymore, if you cared to take notice." I snap.
"I know." He says taking the top notebook off of the oddly large pile stacked in my hands. I would normally pull away or something but I can't, instead all I can do is freeze up and let him do whatever he wants. It's like he's got full control over anything and everything that has to do with me. He could tell me to go drink some pumpkin juice, which I am severely allergic to, and I would blindly do it while looking at him for his approval. I want to beat myself for feeling this way but the worst part is that, I don't mind it. The feeling is almost good, it makes me feel like I'm going to be sick but in a good way.
But then I remember Cedric.
"Can you stop?" I ask.
"Stop what?" He asks with a cocky smile.
"You're so close to me." I say looking at the space in between us."
"Well I'm trying to get your books from you." He reminds me.
I unwillingly hand him the rest of my books without even questioning it for a second and walk by his side to the next class, completely forgetting about all of the worries I previously had about being caught with him.
