"As usual... They're so marvelous."
Athanasia was shaken, jeweled blue eyes straying to see the green-clad blonde entering the crowd. She could perceive how Ijekiel was scolding Quitterie.
It was the white-haired male's intervention that they went separate ways. If he hadn't, Athanasia wouldn't have time to gather her thoughts in Quitterie's presence.
'The future I hold? I have to choose between my happiness and someone?' Shivers crawled up Athanasia's spine. The blonde hugged her arms, feeling suffocated.
"Why..." Athanasia trails off, a bit dazed as she was in deep thought.
Her feet took to her to somewhere. It was only after a familiar voice called out to her did she snap out of her thoughts.
"Princess!" Felix was there with an everlasting smile. His figure was beaming like a sun, making Athanasia give a dry giggle.
"Where's my Dad?" Athanasia inquired Felix, her head glancing around.
"His Majesty has left for the moment on some urgent business," Felix replies with a friendly smile. His remarks causing discomfort to sprint into the Princess's heart.
'Well, Claude is a busy man...' Her eyes halted, freezing at the thought. 'Could it be...' Chills gathered up within her heart, worry flooding her blood with the possibility plaguing her mind.
Within moments, Athanasia was brought to the sidelines once again by Felix. They stood in silence while others observed the two.
The Nobles alternated between the dancing Prince and idle Princess. Some whispers were filled with gossip, others could only gawk in adoration.
During these seconds, Athanasia calmed herself down. 'That's not possible. I had just talked with Jennette,' she tried to reason. Her jeweled eyes gleamed with courage. 'And, if Sir Roger introduces Jennette now it wouldn't be beneficial.'
Athanasia clenches her hand. 'Even if Jennette is introduced, it wouldn't change the Heir to the throne. Arius is the son and is acknowledged as the Crown Prince from the Nobles to the common folk. Though it isn't uncommon for Empresses to be the Heir, it's unlikely with how Claude showed he was close with Arius.'
