"I know I'm stupid. And I don't want to change. I mean, who wouldn't go to a slave house to bust the bad men? I would definitely go– Athy, don't give me that look."
Athanasia turns and twists in her bed, trying to find a comfortable position. Alas, someone was hindering her sleep. Groaning, she pushed away from the hand of her pestering brother.
"What is it, Arius," Athanasia whispers groggily, "I want to sleep, leave me alone." She was just about to punch a pillow to his face but went against it.
Her ten-year-old brother ignored her words and huffed. "Athy, listen to me!" Arius proclaims low enough that Lilian didn't hear them. If she did, Athanasia was ready to blame Arius with no remorse.
Athanasia pushed his face away, trying to get him away. "Fine, fine– just tell me, what is it?" She gives in after futile attempts at shooing him, directing one glare when her sleep was interrupted. "This better be worth it," she grumbles.
Arius vigorously nods his head, resting on the headboard. "I overheard Papa talking about some Nobles doing some illegal stuff like slavery and whatnot," he starts.
"Hmm..."
"So I thought, why not try and visit one to arrest the–" a pillow was launched to his face, making him stumble off the bed with a thud.
The culprit, Athanasia, had an irritated look. "Arius..." Her dark tone made the said boy flinch when he peeled the pillow off his face. "You idiot. I'm not joining in your deadly shenanigans," she concludes, turning on her back with her blanket in tow.
"Athy!" Arius calls out, climbing back on the bed. Alas, he was ignored by his sleep-deprived sister. "Come on! There hasn't been any drama ever since we found out Lucas has a freaking brother. That was a year ago!" He exclaims.
"Nine months," Athanasia corrects, still not facing him, "It has been nine months. We are still ten, Arius, our birthday is still a few months later." After that, she threw another pillow to his face.
Falling on the carpeted floor with a small yelp, Arius rolled on the floor in frustration. "I know it's stupid!" He declares, standing back up while returning the pillow with a huff. "But come on! I go along with your antics!" He adds, crossing his arms.
"Oh, really?" Athanasia finally graces him with her notoriety, a wry smile on her visage. She leaned on her arm while still on the bed. "Name a few of them, BROTHER~," she provokes, going on her feet to stare him on.
Currently, they were the same height.
"Ha." Arius pushes up his bangs when his expression turned devious to innocent. "Are you really sure? I can and will prove you wrong, SISTER~." The look in his pink jeweled eyes irked Athanasia.
A dark shadow came over Athanasia's face. A brief scoff left her lips, a hand on her waist while the other was directed to him. "Bring it on! You can't po–"
