"Where can I get respect for saving someone? I mean, a kid nearly hit my handsome face. Just so you know, it has insurance."
"H-haha... What a yummy cookie," Athanasia dryly laughs out, a drained expression on her look. She sends glares to an indifferent Lucas, observing how weirded out Arius was.
"Yes, Princess," Lucas replies with a restrained smirk.
The act of the two had been going on for at least twenty minutes.
'I have to keep this up,' Athanasia thinks, 'If I don't Arius will know.'
Arius gave a stare between the two, analyzing. After a second, he becomes deadpanned.
"You two are acting so obviously weird," Arius states which made Athanasia flinch from her sit. "Come on, stop acting. I ain't an idiot," he declares.
This amused Lucas who shows a wide smirk. "Ha! Your brother is smarter than you!" He exclaims, a hand patting Arius' shoulder.
The child pushes it off. "Don't insult my sister," Arius utters, "Who would have thought you're actually like this." He moves to sit beside Athanasia, the girl sighing after she removed the facade.
Athanasia peers at Arius who munches on cookies. "How did you know..." She whispers with a glint in her jeweled blue eyes. "I know I was bad at acting but not this much..." She trails off.
Arius bit a cookie in half, eyes watching Lucas settle himself across them "Your brow twitches whenever you act. Like how you're angry at Papa but can't show it," was his explanation, a shocking revelation to Athanasia.
"M-my brow twitches...?" Athanasia whispers in wonder. "Does Daddy know that," she now laments burying herself in her thoughts.
With Athanasia in her world, Arius' eyes morphed into a glare directed at Lucas. "Should I thank you?" He starts, wary of the black-haired male.
Munch. "Yeah, you should. Consider yourself lucky. Your sister would be dead if I had got there even a moment later," Lucas answers with pride. He sat in a relaxed position as he munched on another chocolate bit.
"..." Athanasia glances at him before groaning, her brother reassuring her with a sigh.
"Seriously, why are these so good? Ask the maid more when she comes in," Lucas muttered with small shock at how delicious the chocolate was. He allowed himself to indulge in the sugary snack, watching the twins.
"Ask her on your own. Her name Lilian, we call her Lily," Arius murmured without hesitation, sipping his cup of milk.
"Oh yeah. Turns out your dad isn't the son of Aeternitas," Lucas commented with a smirk, ignoring Arius' previous words.
"Are you stupid?" Arius muttered, "That dude's been dead for over two hundred years already."
Athanasia agrees to this. "Aeternitas, the greatest Emperor of Obelia, died on ———. He was buried somewhere unknown. I mean, why would you guess he was our father's father? You're indirectly saying you're old," she explains, a small grin at the end.
