dangerous waters,
waging wars.

"i would never beg nor bow down to the likes of you." you told him as it clearly aggravated him.

he was the the emperor's most trusted knight, and the empress's murderer.

ven.

he was hungry for power, he couldn't settle by just being the knight in charge. the general of the troop— he craved for more.

and craving for more dangerously led him to rebel.

he got the scar in his eye when he went into rebellion towards the empire. it was ruthless of him to rage war once more.

"what if i kill you right now?" the scarred man said while taking out his sword

"you would make a lovely addition to all the royalty who met their end with me."

the way you looked at him pierced to the back of his head as you took the sword hanging on your wall.

"the princess knows how to fight, i see." he chuckled as he swiftly ran towards your desk and swung his sword. with your quick reflexes,
you managed to duck his attack and quickly moved to the other side.

you gripped your sword tightly as you stared at your wrecked table. ven could only stare at you with hunger in his eyes. "you've been trained well."

those words pierced right at you as you've learned everything you knew.. from him.

he trained you to hold a sword, to dodge an attack, and to fight back when necessary.

"who would have thought my very own student would die right in my hands." ven mouthed as he slash his sword towards you. being able to the block his blade with your own, "your desperation didn't change, ven. even if so much time has passed." you mouthed as you tried pushing him back.

you knew how he moved. he was your teacher to begin with.

your blades both clashing and clanging, as you kept dodging the hits he was attempting to make. you looked at him with anger as he heavily, and so suddenly charged his sword all the way to your neck

he caught you off guard as his blade was a few inches away from slicing your skin.

"any last words, princess?" he asked

"you gave me quite a fight." you said as you tried to remain calm, doing your best not to move towards the blade of his sword.

your mind was spiraling off, thinking how akaashi was doing despite your situation.

'if only he was here.' you thought to yourself as you were still pressed on the wall, moments away from death.

"you seem scared." ven mouthed as he loosened his grip on the sword.

"you're going to kill me, right?" you taunted. "then what are you waiting for?"

"are you a coward after all?" was the last thing that came out of your mouth.

"why you little bitch—" ven yelled but was cut off as three arrows hit his left shoulder.

"princess!" you heard a very familiar voice call out.

as ven winced in pain, he suddenly dropped the sword that was pressing on you.

"please, run towards me!" akaashi said loudly as you gathered your strength to push back ven so you could run to the door. he grunted with your harsh push and fell on the floor.

you dashed quickly towards akaashi as he reached out his hand.

"take my hand, princess." he said as he smiled.

how could he in a situation like this. yet it was comforting to see either ways.

you reached out to hold his hand. it felt cold. "you look like you're anxious." you mouthed

"how could i not after seeing that you were in a grave situation."

"princess, i feel like my soul would leave this body if i see you get hurt." he said as you were both running out the hall of the chambers.

"how did you find out?" you asked him for his sudden return.

"it didn't feel right.."

"to leave you all alone.."
