that was the first thing that echoed through out the palace as soon as the both of you entered the gates.

kuroo slowed down his pace as you looked at the damage that has been left by ven.

'how did they even get in here..' you slowly thought to yourself.

"empress! may the gods be favorable of you. how do we move out for this sudden attack?" the palace general asked as he ran over to you and kuroo .

"i have formed an alliance with the empire of the north." you said you saw the people around you quietly felt assured.

"i shall send an army to assist the empress' war tomorrow at dawn. the north shall help with any problems the western empire will have."

"a-all hail the new emperor!" a crowd suddenly screamed out

there was no backing out now.

kuroo helped you down the horse, the next thing you knew, the general was urging you to plan the next move.

kuroo assured you that he would always be off assistance.

"my empress, please, what i have.. is already all yours." the emperor smiled.

"..and what the western empire may offer.. is all yours as well, tetsurou."

it has been a month since i last saw the empress.

30 days since the war begun.

it all felt uneasy. but this is what i was meant to do. the traitor never gets happy endings.

"have you heard?" ven suddenly broke off the silence as i was drawing him the route of the palace.

"don't disturb me." i coldly replied,

"my, my, nephew, i thought you'd be interested to know about the alliance your dear empress made." ven said as he eyed on the route i drew for him.

"alliance? what alliance?"

"the empress married the crown prince of the northern empire. their men were on both ends of the border."

"..they married? already?" i asked as i felt a pierce on my heart.

but that was for the best..

of course the empress would go for someone well suited for her..

"they wont be for long." ven chuckled, "you really know the palace huh? this route will make sure of our victory!"

"once we kill (first name), tht crown prince will be easily swayed."

"do not speak of her so lightly." i said once more as i started to walk out the room.
