The next day

Paddy's pov
I woke up.
Tonight it's Christmas eve.
I can't wait it's nice to have the whole family here

Last year Tom and harry couldn't get home for christmas.
It was still Christmas and we facetimed but it was different.

I got downstairs and went to the couch

I scrolled trough Instagram when I got a text from y/n

Y/n: merry Christmas eve paddy!

Paddy: merry Christmas eve y/n! 😂

You: see ya in 2 days😁

Paddy: 😂😂

I chuckle to myself

Tom: what are you laughing about?

Paddy: oh nothing

Tom: yeah right

Mom: breakfast is ready!

Paddy and Tom: coming!

We got to the table and sat down

Harry and Sam came down the stairs and sat down too

Mom: soo what do you wanna do?

Sam: I don't know

Harry: no idea

Tom: maybe we could go to the forest or so?

Paddy: yeah that's a great idea!

Mom: okay than we are going to the forest today

Sam: we should take tess

Tom: yeah ofcourse!

Everyone agreed and we finished breakfast.

After that we got to the forest

We made some pictures and walked with tess until we saw someone very familiar......

Y/n's pov
We ate breakfast and decided to go to a forest a few minutes away from my granny's

We were with the whole family and my aunt brought her dog too because why not?

We were just walking and walking

I was talking with my cousin when I had the feeling someone was looking at me. I looked around me to find the feeling when I saw him looking at me. It's something with him that always lights me up inside and outside. My face lit up when I saw him smiling at me like that. A big smile grew on my face and his was even bigger. My cousin was talking to me but I didn't hear her.

Cousin: y/n? Where are you looking at-

She followed my eyes saw him too

Cousin: oooooh he's hot!

You: what no you can't say that we are friends

Cousin: yeah right if you didn't say that I would immediately say you guys were already married!

You: shut up! Why would you say that!?

Cousin: you guys look at each other like my parents always do! With that weird loving and wanting look!

Her words stayed in my mind as we were walking closer to the hollands

Cousin: you're a weirdo y/n. Even I can see that you love him and I'm younger than you!

You: 3 months!

Cousin: oh so now it isn't a big deal you're older?

You: just shut up okay they and everyone else can hear you so shush!

Cousin: okay okay calm down you guys are "just friends" definitely!

She added quotation notes at just friends.

I don't know why she said it and why I am feeling so weird right now but I didn't had time to think about it because before we knew we were in front off paddy's family.

My mom got to Nikki and hugged her.

I ran to paddy and my cousin followed.

You: paddy this is my cousin, y/c/n

Cousin: hi "just friend" off y/n.

I gave her a dead stare.

Cousin: I mean paddy ofcourse there is nothing weird here now right now in this situation-ooh I see you have a dog can I pet her or him?

Paddy laughed: yeah sure her name is tessa

My cousin ran over to tess and petted her whit Sam.

You: o my God I can't believe her sorry she is really weird.

Cousin: I can hear you!

You: meant to!

Paddy laughed: its nothing

You sighed in relieve and looked at your familys.

You: they get along really well don't they?

Paddy: yeah I think they do except for Tom but he's probably just a little stressed.

You: yeah probably. But not everyone needs to like everyone right!

Paddy: true.

You stand next to each other and just stand there in silence. It's not a bad silence, it's a comforting silence.

Just you and your best friend even though your cousins words keep going trough your mind.
Did you really look like that at paddy?
Did he really look at you like that?
Is there more than friendship in this relationship?
Or am I fooling myself right now?
I don't know is the answer to all these questions.
