Brother Issues

Part 19

Y/n's pov:
I woke up and was totally refreshed. I took a shower and then changed into a hoodie and some joggers. After that I got downstairs and because I was the first one up I decided to make some pancakes for my whole family. It took a while. Yeah a very long while. When I was ready the first person came down. Ethan.

Ethan: oooh you made pancakes!

You: yes!

Ethan and I sit down while the pancakes stay warm in the oven(I didn't make them in the oven don't worry).Slowly everyone came downstairs and grabbed some pancakes from the oven. When everyone finished eating I cleaned the dishes.

Tomorrow we were going back home so I texted paddy if I could come over to spend my last full day in London with my best friend.

You: hey tomorrow we are heading back to the Netherlands so I was gonna ask do you want to hang out today?

Paddy🤪: ofcourse! Could we first walk tess?

You: ofc!

Paddy🤪: great! Let's go to Richmond park

You: yup! I'll be there in 10!😁

I put my shoes on.

You: bye people I'm going for a walk!

I yell into the house. Some mumbling okays and sures are my response.

I walk to Richmond Park and see paddy and tess waiting for me.
I wave at him and he waves back.

You: hi tess!

I pet her behind her ears.

Paddy: ouch.

He says sarcastic.

You: hi paddy

I laugh and pet him behind his ears to just like I did with tess.

He laughs too. I take my hands back and we start walking into the park.
We talk and laugh a lot.

Can't believe I need to miss that laugh for at least 3 months or so...

What was that? Was I thinking that? Omg I can't think that! Ugh!

We walk a lot and eventually I get a little hungry.

You: ugh I'm hungry! Wanna grab some fooooood?

Paddy laughs again.

You: what I'm being serious! I'm hungry!

I say now laughing too.

Paddy: okay we can grab some food. It is lunch time already so I get it.

We walk to the closest Mac Donalds and I stay outside with tess while paddy orders our food. I offered to pay but he insisted on paying for both of us. After 15 minutes paddy comes back outside with our food. We sit down at an outside table and eat.

You: uhm this is soo good.

I say with my mouth full off burger.
Paddy laughs again and looks at me.

You: don't look at me when I'm eating! I hate when people do that!

I say laughing.
He laughs again.

Paddy: now I'm gonna stare at you and not gonna take my eyes while you eat your burger!

You roll your eyes.

You: you really like annoying me don't you?

Paddy shrugs.

Paddy: that's why I'm your best friend.

I feel some sort off pain. Why did it hurt me that paddy called me his best friend? I love being friends with paddy but why did it hurt me than? Why was I hurtled by my best friend calling me his best friend?
I get pushed out of my thoughts when paddy talks to me.

Paddy: you okay?

I snap my head back at him.

You: hm? Yeah ofcourse! Just gonna miss you when I'm back home that's all.

Paddy: gonna miss you too but you need to go back because you have school.

He says pointing at me.
I roll my eyes.

You: you too mister.

Paddy: yes but I only need 2 more years and you 5 so there is a little difference. I have sometimes so much more work than you and sometimes no work at all. See there is the difference.

He points out.

I continue to eat and just ignore paddy who was, like he said he would, staring at me the whole time.
I don't know if he was staring because he said he would or for another reason. But I think he just did because he said so. I mean what other reason would be the to stare at me eating a burger? Not that I'm insecure about my body or face or anything it's just that I look terrible when eating a burger!

When we finished we walked back to the park. We just walked and soon enough it was 5 pm and I needed to go back to pack my stuff.

You: I think I need to get back now.

I say sad. Paddy's face had a sad expression too.

Paddy: I'm really gonna miss you tho

I sad smile and feel my eyes get watery.

You: in gonna miss you too paddy

The tears stream down my face by now. Paddy walks over to me and hugs me. I return the hug and cry into his shoulder.
We break apart and I wipe my tears.

You: I think I'll see you in July because than I have vacation.

Paddy: yeah I think so we'll still hold contact right?

You: yeah ofcourse you are my best friend!

Paddy smiles. I return the smile.

Paddy: we'll at least text each day and call as much as we can deal?

You: deal.

You both laugh. You walk back to your granny's house. You hug him one last time and walk inside. You're not gonna see him until summer break.
