Part 16

Next day

Paddy's pov:
Today y/n, her brother and her parents are coming over. I literally can't wait to meet her brother she said he was my age so that's great.

I got out off bed and walk downstairs seeing that everyone has already ate breakfast. So I just grabbed some cereal and ate it on the couch while watching Netflix. I first look at my phone to see if I got any texts. When I looked at it I saw a text from y/n.

Y/n: hey Pads! Is it okay if we come at like 2 pm?

Paddy: uhm yeah ofcourse see yoh then!

I looked at the time and saw it was already 1.45. Shit.
I ran upstairs and quickly got ready.
Just when I put my shirt on I hear the doorbell ring.

Mom: Paddy! I think that are the y/l/n's! Would you open up please?

Paddy: yeah mum! Coming!

I came downstairs and opened the door and there she was, standing there all gorgeous with her parents and brother.

Y/n: hi Pads!
She hugs me which I gladly return

Paddy: hi y/n/n

Y/n: so Paddy this is my brother Lewis, Lewis this is Paddy

Lewis: hey man!

Paddy: hey

We brohugged like we already knew eachother for forever. Everything with y/n and her family feels like it's been for forever. Well ofcourse our moms already know each other for forever but let's just put that aside.

They came in and everyone greeted them except for Tom again he went upstairs. I don't know why he is so distant whenever it has something to do with y/n or her family. I just think it's weird but whatever. Now is not the time to over think things. It's time to have fun with my bestie.

Y/n: so what games are we gonna play?

Sam: why not start with Mario kart or so?

Lewis: ooh yeah let's do this!

Harry: I like you already

They laugh I look at y/n who is looking at how close they are getting. She is smiling. God that beautiful smile off hers. Dang it Paddy what are you thinking!

Y/n: Paddy do you wanna join us or are you just gonna stand there?

Paddy: hm? No no I'm definitly joining! This is the only game I'll win from you

She rolls her eyes

Y/n: yes but I still like the game so come on we all wanna start!

Paddy: yeah I'm coming I'm coming

She laughs again. Wow. Ugh I'm such a simp!

We played the game and ofcourse I won. Y/n was so bad at it. It was almost cute. Ugh there I go again why can't I just think normal about my best friend!

We played some more games.
I didn't really won much but the good thing is that y/n didn't too. Thank god.
We are currently playing monopoly and Harry is winning so hard!

Harry: and that's my money now and that means you are broke and I won!

Paddy: yes!

Everyone looks weird at me.

Harry: why are you happy you didn't even won sucker

Paddy: because y/n didn't win either.

I say with a big smile on my face.
Y/n scoffs a laugh.

I look at her and she looks at me.
Until she looks away down to her hands.
The tension between us could be cut with a knife.

Sam: okayyy moving on!

Harry and Lewis laugh.
Y/n and I just awkwardly laugh.

Mom: guys dinner is ready!

Thank you mom!

Paddy: yeah we are coming!

Paddy: let's go

Sam: you are just trying to get out of this tension man

Paddy: whatever

I roll my eyes at his comment and walk to the table

Mom: so was it fun?

Lewis: yeah we got to know each other a lot.

Harry: yeah especially about y/n and paddy.

I looked over at y/n she is blushing and looking down at her food.

Paddy: shut up.

We ate dinner and then y/n's family needed to go home.

Paddy: bye!

Y/n: bye!

And I closed the door.

I walked to the living room and sat down at the couch.

Harry: you gotta admit it: you like her

Paddy: I don't know anymore.

Harry: when you don't know it's most likely you do like her.

Paddy: I don't know if I like her or if I love her.

I said and before he could say anything I walked off to my room.
