I'm back, ladies.💞

Sokka

Long, sweeping puffs of air came out of the boy's mouth.

He strode exhaustingly down the street that led to the City dock.

Somehow he could move forward, his legs were shaking with fear and his heart was crying out to leave his body.

His spirit was the only thing keeping him alert, that and his concern for the girl in his arms.

Almost fainted, Warrior Kyoshi managed to breathe at the intense hustle and bustle of advancing at such speed.

Sokka could hear her, her moans and breathing were too weak.

"Suki, listen to me!" He yelled in exasperation as he felt his hands covered in blood from her girlfriend. "Stay with me, we're almost there!"

He was exhausted, scared. He knew perfectly well the place where he should go, it was the only one. The nearest medical center was too far from his location.

He was to go with his sister.

I must go to Katara, she will help her.

He immediately asked the last of the Bay sailors for help. They quickly set sail for Avatar Island, which was mostly dark, only illuminated by the luminaries surrounding the natural orb.

Just thinking that he could lose her there made him lose his mind.

"Come on, Suki. Just a little more” He sobbed, taking her fearfully by his hand. Sokka was shaking, he wasn't sure if she was listening.

The Warrior managed to make a strong tourniquet around her arm so that the fiery red liquid would stop flowing. She was losing too much blood, it was what worried him the most.

A loud blow shook the small ship as they managed to run aground on the Island. Unable to thank, Sokka immediately took Suki into his arms.

His feet were stained by sand and water as he walked off the beach.

The Warrior began to shout Aang and Katara's name at the top of his lungs.

He was advancing along the path to the top of the Island, only guided by the small path of light that climbed the steps of the place.

The boy drew all the strength from inside him to climb that steep staircase.

He kept calling out Aang and Katara's name for them to come down to help him. His calves burned with fatigue, however, that was the least of it, he had to get to where they were as soon as possible.

"Sokka!" Aang landed in front of him with a great blast of air coming from his speeder. "What happened?" The Avatar looked with fear at the person that his friend was carrying in his arms.

"Aang, help me! He said with a trembling voice. He stopped in front of him, staring at the monk's immutable, expressionless face.

"We have to get her to Katara!"

Sokka managed to deliver the Kyoshi Warrior into his arms; Without wasting any more time, Aang, with the help of his airbending, ran as far as possible, leaving behind the boy who was trying to uselessly keep up with him.

He was advancing frantically along the esplanade of the Island, as much as he wanted to think positive, bad thoughts filled his head.

What if Suki didn't wake up again? What if when she arrives she is gone?

The love he had for her didn't seem enough back then.

He had no idea who could have caused that, whoever it is, he had no motive.

Suki did nothing but help and teach her martial art to people. Who would be so miserable to do something like that to her?

He shouldn't think about that, this was not the time to find guilty. The first thing is her health.

The Council rushed into the house. He was even more nervous than when he had her with him, he climbed the stairs of the place almost fading into them, the steps never seemed to end.

Once he got up to the first floor, he walked down the hall that led to the room with the door open.

Aang quickly came out of there with a large empty bucket and then filled it with Water. He ignored that and entered the bedroom, he should be with her.

He found her there, expressionless, her eyes closed and her breathing heavy. Somehow, Sokka believed that when he entered things would be different, he had a small hope that she would wake up when he arrived.

"Sokka, what happened?!“ Katara managed to say when she saw her brother sit on her knees next to Suki who was already lying on the bed.

The Warrior didn't care about anything other than that his girlfriend woke up, he wanted to untie the tourniquet made on her shoulder when Aang entered the room with Water that his sister had ordered.

"Katara, please heal her" he said without taking his eyes off Suki.

The Master managed to take the Water and immediately directed her hands to the immobile body of the girl.

Sokka watched her sister's slow, even movements with concern. The entire room turned a sky blue color that came from healing.

Suki still didn't show any improvement.

She didn't wake up, why didn't she? Katara ain't doing it right

"Do something" he exclaimed, frowning on his helpless face, desperate for his frustration at the moment. "Heal her now, Katara!".

The Master frowned and ignored her brother's rude attitude, she was doing her best to wake up Suki.

"Sokka!" Aang called him from behind as a scolding, he helplessly watched what was happening “She will be fine, calm down.

Those words only fueled his frustration.

How could he calm down with Suki in that state? She was probably dying right now, and he couldn't do anything to prevent it.

"She's dying, Aang" He said turning to see him with his eyes reddened by the moisture of his tears "How can I calm myself?".

"She won't die" he stated, approaching him, putting his hand on Sokka's shoulder to calm his behavior. "Suki is very strong, she will survive"

Sokka closed his eyes on hers and took a few seconds to reflect.
