[Aang]

Moving as fast as he could, Katara came down the stairs as if his life depended on it.

Long sighs came from his fiancée's mouth.
"Be careful," Aang suggested, when she stumbled a little out of her house.

Both now more relaxed, they walked quickly holding hands, seeing how each time the view of the Ship that had just arrived became bigger and bigger.

The night was at its crescent point, the moon shining brighter than anything else in the panorama before their eyes.

"¡Dad!" The Waterbender exclaimed, freeing herself from the Avatar's hand. Running to where her family was.

Aang simply smirked as he advanced to meet them. Katara clung tightly to her father's arms and listened as little smiles came from Hakoda's mouth.

"I missed you a lot too, darling." Her father said as she wiped the tears from her face. "You are identical to your mother."

Katara chuckled to hug him again, and feel again that cozy feeling that he had every time she hugged him.

Hakoda pushed her away again so she could fix her gaze on a small old woman who was getting off the ship with Melina's help. "Go with her," his father suggested as he turned his attention to the boy in front of him.

She couldn't believe how long it had been since the last time she saw her, it was hard for her to walk and her face reflected tiredness just by looking at her.

Even so, her grandmother had decided to go see her, to be with her. "I missed you so much Gran Gran" Katara said hugging her, putting herself at her height. Her fragrance reminded her too much of the South Pole, it was fresh and homey. "I wanted to see you"

"My little waterbender" she said, smiling with pride. "I missed you too, more than you can imagine."

Aang just intervened a bit to leave this moment to themselves. It wasn't until Hakoda approached him to greet him.

"Avatar Aang!" He said in the form of greeting, making a slight reference sample of the Water Tribe.

"Chief Hakoda!" Aang mentioned imitating what he did "It's good to see you again". The man already showed an incredible maturity in his face, he wore small necklaces that surrounded his neck as a symbol of his authorship in the Water Tribe.

He quickly extended his hand to greet him properly, not like the Avatar, he greeting him like the man who had been taking care of his daughter all those years, so the monk extended his hand as well to later meet with a pull to the body by Hakoda.

"It's nice to see you, son," the Tribal Chief mentioned to give him a couple of pats on the back. The man gazed in admiration at the Island in front of his eyes.

"It's admirable, Aang." said, observing every structure he could see.

"This place is incredible for your culture."

The Avatar nodded and gave him a proud smile. "Thank you very much, but ..." he said as Katara approached him, for the Monk to take his hand. "It's all for her."

The Waterbender allowed herself to be embraced by the arms of her fiancé, she was anxious that she could tell them at that very moment, but she and Aang had decided that it would be at the party, with everyone gathered, she should wait.
