Can I... Be a hero too?

Chapter Eight

The next day

"Izuku!" That was the first thing he had heard as the boy walked into his classroom. Izuku looked to see Ochako running up to him with a worried look. "Are you ok?" She asked.

"I'm fine," Izuku replied, as he thought about yesterday's events. "Did you see the news yesterday?" Izuku asked, changing the subject. "Yeah! The police arrested seventy-two villains, but the leader... I think his name was Shigaraki and Kurogiri escaped," Ochako said, and began to ramble.

Izuku walked to his seat and sat down. Aizawa sensei got injured yesterday, I should probably pay him a visit to rewind his injuries, but Recovery Girl might get suspicious, Izuku thought, but he suddenly looked up as he saw a bandaged Aizawa walk into the room, looking like a mummy. "Aizawa sensei, is it all right for you to be out of the infirmary? Your injuries were very serious!" Iida said, waving his hands around.

"It's fine," Aizawa said, walking to the front of the classroom. "Your fight isn't over yet," Everyone in the room immediately tensed up. "The Yuuei Sports Festival is coming up," Eraserhead finished.

"After a moment, Iida once again stood up. "Sir! Is it wise to have a school event after an attack?" He said, worried. "I know, but the principal said that it's to bring up morale and to prove that we aren't weak," Aizawa replied, "Class dismissed," And Aizawa got into his sleeping bag, and dozed off.

"Why do you guys want to be heroes?" Iida asked, "I want to be a hero like my older brother," He said. "I want to be a hero to help people and protect them from harm," Izuku replied. "You Uraraka?" Izuku asked, looking at his friend. "My reason isn't as good as yours," Uraraka said, rubbing the back of her head. "I'm kind of in for the money," Uraraka said.

"Really? Why?" Izuku asked. "It's because my parent's run a company, and we are in debt right now, so I want to become a hero to make money and let my family take it easy," Uraraka said. "That's not unheroic at all! You are becoming a hero to help your family Uraraka," Iida said, chopping the air.

Suddenly All Might appeared around the corner. "Young Midoriya!" The man shouted, "Care to have some lunch with me?" He said, holding up a bento box. Next to Izuku, Uraraka burst into laughter.

"Sure?" Izuku replied and walked after the hero. Once they had gone inside of the room, All Might deflated back into his normal form. "I wanted to talk to you about the U.S.J attack," All Might said. "What about it?" Izuku said defensively. "Some of your classmates told me about the monster in the middle of the attack," All Might said. "They told me that it was a creature that was created to fight me," He continued. "And that you defeated it. From that encounter, is there anything else you can tell me?" He finished.

"The Nomu had multiple quirks," Izuku said, looking up. All Might looked grim. "I thought so, Aizawa told me that even though he erased 'Nomu's' quirk, he could still easily break a limb,"

"From what I could tell, it had three quirks. A strength enhancer, a regeneration quirk, and a shock absorption quirk," Izuku replied. "This means that there is a villain out there with a quirk that lets them take and give quirks right?" Izuku asked.

All Might sighed. "For you to understand, I will have to tell you about the origins of One for All," All Might said. "Back when quirks first appeared, there were two brothers. One of them was quirkless, and the other one had All for One, a quirk that lets the user give or take quirks." All Might continued.

"The younger brother wanted to become a hero to stop crime, while the older one became the top villain. The older brother then forced a stockpiling quirk on to the younger one. But it seemed the younger brother had a secret quirk, an useless one that lets him transfer quirks, and the two combined, to form One For All," All Might finished. "So All for One must have taken a time quirk or an aging quirk right?" Izuku said slowly. "I believe so," All Might replied.
