Chapter Nine

Idk who to make him intern with so I chose Edgeshot.

Izuku walked into the classroom, looking around. Iida isn't here, He thought. The day before, he had seen on the news that his older brother had been attacked. It really must have affected him, Izuku thought.

The boy sat down at his seat, and began to start note taking about his classmates. "After Me and Todoroki's fight, I realized that when his fire and ice combine it creates steam so he can block his enemies while fighting... Momo, from what I have seen, can make gunpowder, a bo staff, a metal rod, a motorcycle, clothes, and a shield, but can she make it like a gun? She could probably add blanks or tranquilizers..." Izuku muttered, writing in his notebook.

He heard the door open and looked up. "Hi Iida!" Izuku said. "Hello Midoriya," Iida replied, sitting down. Soon after, everyone else arrived, and homeroom began. "All right, now we should look at your internship options," Aizawa said, before clicking a button. Izuku quickly scanned through the list, seeing that at the top, he had 5327 offers, and Bakugou being next with 3982 offers, Todoroki being third with 3425 offers.

Izuku: 5327

Bakugou: 3982

Todoroki: 3425

Momo: 682

Iida: 362

"How did I get so many offers?" Izuku said, surprised. "You won nerd," Bakugou said, glaring. "I still can't believe that you beat me," Bakugou shouted. "Um... Sorry?" Izuku said.

Izuku was given a list of all the intern options, which he began to scroll through. "Kamui Woods, Mount Lady, Manuel, Backdraft," Izuku muttered as he read. Suddenly he stopped. "E-Edgeshot?" He shouted as he looked at the name. Izuku stood up. "Aizawa sensei, I have Edgeshot as an offer, are you sure that it wasn't mixed up and is supposed to go to Todoroki or Kacchan?" He inquired. "He requested you specifically," Aizawa said, laying down.

Izuku smiled, and continued scrolling through.

After a bit

Midnight walked into the room, stepping to the center, and clapped her hands together. "Hello! Today you will be deciding..." She said, "Hero names!" She shouted. "Now remember, this name may stick with you for life, so choose wisely," She said. "I can't decide hero names, so I'm having Nemuri do it for me," Aizawa said, zipping up his sleeping bag.

She passed around a bunch of whiteboards, and everyone began to brainstorm. After around five minutes, Aoyama stood up. "I have come up with moi," He said, standing in front of the class, "I can not stop twinkling!"

Really? Izuku thought. "If you shorten the can not to can't and remove the I, you can have can't stop twinkling," Midnight said. Izuku thought for a moment, before scribbling something on his. "I think I'm ready!" He said. "Come on up," Midnight said, as Izuku walked to the podium. "The Time hero, Hourglass," He said. I need to explain rewind one day, He thought. "Can I ask why?" Midnight asked. "Ask All Might," He muttered back. "Why?" Ochako asked. "What's the bias behind the name?"

"You'll see," Izuku smiled. Todoroki narrowed his eyes. The ice kept disappearing when I was fighting you... Your hero name relates to time, can you manipulate it? The boy thought.

The rest of the class had gone to get their hero names, so they set off. Izuku walked into the agency beaming. He was still so surprised that he had gotten an offer from a top ten hero, that he had just chosen it without thinking much. He was not prepared for the week of hell that followed.

Shinsou's was 'Brainwave' and Todoroki was Frostbite.

"So this is where you will be sleeping," Edgeshot said, gesturing towards a room, "And this is the training grounds," He finished, stepping into a massive room with pillars and punching bags.
