"No! You can't be serious. As if that really happened." I haven't laughed as much as I did that night in a long time. I wiped the tears from my face and couldn't stop laughing, just like the guys - except Ethan.

"Dude, you should have seen Ethan fall off the ship," Viktor laughed frantically.

"And that's only because he kept looking at the girls from Beauxbatons," Laurean got in, gasping. "Karkaroff was yelling at him like he was about to kill him."

"Stop it, I can't take it anymore!", I shouted, almost choking on my laughter. Viktor and Lauren just nodded as they couldn't get another word out from laughing so hard.

"That's enough! We all understood that I fell into the lake and Karkaroff yelled at me about how stupid I can be and ruining our gig. Very funny, guys, really," Ethan interjected, his arms folded and an offended expression on his face. We all tried to pull ourselves together and had regained our composure to some extent. My brother looked happier now but when I looked at him again, I had to imagine once more how our perfect Ethan had been so distracted because of the girls from Beauxbatons that he fell into the lake and laughed again, just like the others.

After a while we sighed almost simultaneously and had to take a deep breath. But shortly afterwards, my expression turned serious.

The boys noticed my change of mood and followed my gaze. Malfoy came walking towards our group, his expression cold as ever. I furrowed my eyebrows and scowled at him, which he replied.

"What are you doing here?", I asked, annoyed. I assumed he was about to say something stupid again that would get me in trouble.

"I just wanted to say hello to an old friend. It's not always about you," he countered as he turned to Laurean. He reached out to him but Laurean pulled him into a hug and they patted each other on the back. Confused, I watched what was happening.

"Please don't tell me you're friends with him. You know what Mum and Dad told us about the Malfoys," Ethan whispered to me so none of the others would hear. I shook my head. "I hate that guy. He's just annoying but we're in the same house and both friends with Zabini. Another guy from my year. That's why I can't avoid him all the time, unfortunately," I explained to my brother and watched as the other two chatted briefly before Malfoy left again.

"How do you know each other?", I asked immediately, eager to hear Laurean's explanation.

"You know my father works for the Ministry, as does Draco's father. We used to get dragged along to the stupid events and became friends there. That's why we've known each other forever." he said without understanding what was so special about it. "But it's cool that you already know each other. I'm sure you'd be good together," he quipped, which made Viktor laugh. My brother and I, on the other hand, remained cold.

"I don't know where that idea came from, Laurean, but you can forget it right now," I immediately retorted, to which he just shrugged.

We talked for quite a while until it was close to curfew and I went into the Slytherin common room. There were still pretty much people sitting there and from what I could pick up, the girls were talking about the hot boys from Durmstrang, the boys about the hot girls from Beauxbatons or generally about the Triwizard Tournament.

I stopped at the entrance and scanned the room for Lia and David. It didn't take long before I saw them. They were sitting with Zabini and Malfoy at the other end of the room. Although I wasn't particularly pleased that Malfoy was there, I wanted to spend some more time with my other friends and joined them.

"There you are." grinned Lia, "I was beginning to think you weren't going to come at all and sneak up to the ship with the boys."

"Would have been a good idea actually but no.", I replied to her with a laugh. "But you definitely have to meet them."
