"Don't tell me you did this voluntarily?" Lia looked at me with horror in her eyes and tilted her head. "Calm down Lia, you're acting like I just told you I joined the Death Eaters or some other nonsense. I'm just going to try to work with Malfoy. It's not like it's my greatest desire but it's the easiest thing to do and after what Snape said, I don't really have any other choice," I answered her and had to sigh.

"But why Malfoy? Why not me? Or Zabini? Or any wizard or witch other than Malfoy?" she inquired. Lia absolutely could not understand my behavior.

"Well, for starters, you're only a little better at Potions than I am, and we'd probably do anything but study. And it's only a few hours a week. I help him with Transfiguration and he helps me with Potions. That's fair and even though I hate to admit it, Malfoy is damn talented in Potions like he invented that shit. But don't you dare tell anyone I said that. Then I'll unfortunately have to kill you." I looked at her dead serious and tried to stifle my laughter.

"Jeez, I'm sorry." laughed Lia, raising her hands in defense. I couldn't manage to keep my straight face and had to laugh too.

"Speaking of the devil; I have to go now and help Malfoy even though I don't know with what yet," I said and told Lia goodbye.

When I entered the classroom, Malfoy was already sitting there, the back of his head facing me. "You're early. I didn't know you were so eager to see me. You could have told me that you fancied me," I said with a smirk on my face. Malfoy rolled his eyes in response. "Now don't you go imagining things. You're pretty early yourself. Maybe you're the one fancying me." I raised my eyebrows and sighed.

Then I joined him at the table and unpacked my things. Malfoy had his hands clasped behind his head and was leaning casually in his chair. He had loosened the tie of his uniform and undone the top buttons of his shirt. His hair was no longer perfectly done and hung over his forehead. The messy look suited him, making him look less like a sycophant.

"Are you just going to keep staring at me, or are we going to start?" Malfoy snapped me out of my thoughts and I noticed my cheeks blushing, hoping he wouldn't notice.

"Uh, yeah, sure. What are you having trouble with? What topic are you working on in Transfiguration?", I asked him, since transformation was one of the few subjects I didn't have with Malfoy. However, I assumed McGonagall was about even with all of her classes.

"We're supposed to use Lapifores to turn some object into a rabbit. McGonagall said we should use a ball to do it," he answered me. When he said that, I was glad that we already went through the spell as well and I could perform it perfectly.

"Ok, transformation it is. First show me how you do the spell so I can see where you have problems," I said to him and he nodded. I was surprised that he just accepted my request without a stupid comment. However, when he cast the spell and tried to transform the ball, absolutely nothing happened.

"Somehow you're doing a little bit of everything wrong," I explained to him carefully, to which he snorted and pulled an annoyed face. "Then do your job and help me," he scoffed. There he was again, the old Malfoy, but i wasn't surprised. I closed my eyes and took one deep breath so I wouldn't get in his face. I didn't feel like spending my energy on his fucking remarks once again.

"By Merlin's beard, Malfoy. It's not my fault you can't do the transformation yet. Besides, you have to give me a chance to help you in the first place," I explained to him, trying to stay as calm as possible. Then he pointed to the ball and asked me, "Can you even do the transformation? I've never seen you do it before."

I pointed my wand at the ball and transformed it into a rabbit and back again in one elegant motion. Malfoy's face relaxed and he looked at me in amazement. "Okay, I have to admit that was really good. Don't you dare tell anyone I said that... How come you're so good at it?"

"My parents are both incredibly talented at Transfiguration. My dad is even an animagus. I was practically born to be good at it," I said with a shrug.

"Alright, what do I need to improve?", Malfoy asked me and I explained to him that not only was he pronouncing Lapifores wrong, but he was also moving his wand wrong. That's why we practiced on pronunciation first, which fortunately he got the hang of it pretty quickly. After that, I tried to correct his hand movement, which proved to be a bit more difficult. I demonstrated the movement a few times and explained to him in umpteen different ways how to move his wand but Malfoy just couldn't get it right.

"Look, I'll help you." I brushed a strand of my dark blonde hair behind my ear before standing next to him, taking his hand in mine. It was surprisingly warm and I looked at Malfoy, only to realize that his gaze was already on me and his gray eyes met my blue ones. After a few seconds, I realized what was going on and how close we were. My heart was beating faster and I was getting nervous. What the hell was wrong with me? I shook my head in confusion and returned my attention to our hands. Malfoy followed my gaze.

"So you have to do it like this," I explained, making a flowing motion with his hand in mine. I repeated it again with him, then he tried it on his own.

"Good, much better already," I praised him. "Now try to turn the ball into a rabbit." He followed my request and pointed his wand at the ball. "Lapifores." he said, and this time something actually happened.

The ball didn't completely turn into a rabbit but it did get paws and ears and started bouncing around the room. I tried to hold back my laughter so that Malfoy wouldn't get mad, since he would surely just take that as criticism.

However, it didn't take long until I had to start laughing. It just looked too funny how the bunny ball was bouncing around the classroom. To my surprise, Malfoy was grinning. He tried not to let it show as his face had the same cold expression as always shortly after but I saw it anyway. "That was pretty good for the beginning." I smiled at him and was happy about the progress.

"That's enough for today I have other things to do," Malfoy said suddenly. He packed up his things and left the room without another word, leaving me alone with the bunny ball. 'What the fuck got into him?' I asked myself, turning the ball back to his normal shape before leaving the classroom as well, Malfoy still haunting my mind.
