CHAPTER 8: The Man With Blue Hair

•ERZA'S P.O.V.•
I closed my eyes and felt the warm sun on my skin. I took a deep breath and listened to the wind ruffle the leaves on the trees around me.
"What a beautiful day, perfect for some strawberry cake." I said with a smile.
"Isn't it?" Mira laughed, "after this we should go get some. Whadaya say?" I giggled and nodded my head. I could hear all the others splashing around in the water. Then I heard a familiar voice. Deep and beautiful.
"Hey Scarlet, thought I'd never see ya again." My eyes popped open and I sat up in an instant. I whipped around and my eyes teared up. I stood up and flew into his strong arms like a jet.
"JELLAL!" I screamed. I buried my face in his chest and felt him laughing.
"Erza." He said calmly. I smiled and I could tell he was too. I squeezed him as tight as I could. He coughed, "So I brought you something." He said struggling to talk. I released my grip on him and looked at him. He turned around and picked up a small cardboard box. As he opened it we both said in unison, "strawberry cake!" We laughed. I missed him so much. I couldn't believe my eyes! I turned and everyone was sitting still, staring at us.
"Jellal!! Come join the fun!!" Natsu exclaimed. He looked at me and smiled. I nodded.
"Go ahead, I don't wanna though the water is cold." I gave him a sweet smile.
"We can eat the cake after." He laughed, "I have some catching up to do." I giggled and nodded. Suddenly he leaned down and I felt his arm behind my leg and the other behind my back. He lifted me into the air bridal style and started running towards the lake.
"JELLAL FERNANDEZ I SWEAR TO YOU!!!" I screamed.
"ERZA SCARLET YOU SWEAR TO ME!!!" He screamed back in a mocking high pitched voice as he dove in, taking me with him. When we resurfaced, I looked him in the eye with fake anger.
"You look cute when you're mad." He smiled and giggled. I couldn't hold my smile in any longer and it burst out. I gave him the pouty face and we started splashing each other. He grabbed me and pulled me under. Suddenly I felt something soft touch my lips. He's kissing me! I wasn't sure what to do at first but slowly I relaxed and melted into his kiss. He grabbed my waist and pulled me in tight. I draped my arms around his neck and held his head. After about 45 seconds, we both realized we needed air and swam up. We gasped for breath and he looked at me blushing.
"Um... sorry I-" He and scratched the back of his head, avoiding eye contact. He was so cute when he was embarrassed. Then I saw red liquid trickling out if his nose.
"Jellal! Your nose!" I gasped. His eyes widened. He touched the blood and looked at it.
"Oh shit!" He ran out of the lake, "Be right back!!" He ran into the cabin. I walked back out onto the beach. Mira was smiling at me. She looked insane.
"Um what?" I asked her concerned. She laughed an evil one and said,"You made his nose bleed!!"
"I DIDNT HURT HIM!!" I yelled in self-defense. She looked at the others and mumbled, "one down, three to go. PLAN JERZA IS IN ACTION!!!" She laughed uncontrollably. Um Jerza? Jellal+Erza=Jerza. JELLAL+ERZA WHAAA!!!?
"MIRA HAVE YOU GONE INSANE!!?" I screamed, feeling a blush coming on. I touched my cheeks and they were burning hot. I looked over at the cabin and saw Jellal walking towards me with a tissue sticking out of his nose. I looked away when he smiled and found myself blushing again.
"Face it Erza, you two are madly in loooove." Mira sang. I gave her a death glare. Sadly, she's the only one that doesn't work on. Jellal walked up to me.
"Whadaya say we have some strawberry cake!" He shouted, emphasizing 'strawberry'. Everyone came running in to the shore grabbing their towels.
"I'm game!" Said Natsu and Gray.
"Sounds delicious!" The girls said. Gajeel sat there quietly, as usual. I'm starting to see what Mira is talking about, these 'ships'. Natsu and Lucy... Nalu. Gray and Juvia... Gruvia? Yeah that's sounds right. And lastly, Gajeel and Levy, Gale. They are cute, and they do always blush when they look at each other or talk. Hmmm. I might help Mira with this whole 'shipping' thing. EXCEPT FOR JERZA, that's just weird. I snapped out of my daydream when I heard the sound of cake being sliced into. I turned to see Jellal cutting slices for everyone. They were all at the picnic table beside the fire place. (A/N: Let's just take a moment and realize how uncreative the person who named the 'fire-place' was... /.- *face palm*). The cake looked delicious. There was white frosting marbled with pink frosting and strawberries made a ring around the outside. When Jellal sliced a piece and put it on a plate, the cake was pink on the inside and halfway through was a layer of strawberry jelly. My mouth watered uncontrollably.
"Mm looks delicious!" I gasped. I reached for the first plate as did Gray. Our hands both touched opposite sides of the plate and I glared at him, my bangs making a shadow over my face. No...one...touches...my...strawberry...
cake. He quickly took his hand off and put it above his head while backing away and nervously smiling. I went back to my cheery self. I grabbed a fork and punctured the cake. I took my first bite and felt the delicious frosting, jam and strawberries in my mouth.
"So good." I said with a mouth full of cake. The next slice came and Gray grabbed it quickly before anyone else could. He saw that Juvia couldn't reach through all the people and he gave it to her.
"Thanks Gray-sama!" She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. His face got as red as the cake. I laughed. So this is shipping, I thought.
