CHAPTER 14:

•JELLAL'S P.O.V.•
I punctured the soft marshmallow onto the long stick. I watched the flames lick at it's perfect white color slowly turning to a deep golden brown. My stomach growled in anticipation for the melty marshmallow. Erza put her marshmallow next to mine. I looked at her and smiled. I suddenly realized her marshmallow was on fire.
"Erza! Your marshmallow!" I gasped. She groaned and pulled it out while blowing out the fire.
"Nuuuuuuu!" She pretended to yell. While looking and reaching up to the sky.
"I'll give you mine." I insisted while laughing at her childish actions. It was cute and I blushed at the thought. I took mine out of the fire and noticed it was a perfect gold-brown color. It made my mouth water but I quickly smashed it between two gram crackers and chocolate and gave it to Erza trying to rid my temptations. She smiled as if someone had just given her a whole strawberry cake for free and quickly grabbed it out of my hands scarfing it down like a wolf who hadn't eaten for days. She had bits of melted chocolate around her mouth and I reached out wiping some of it off with my thumb. I licked the warm delicious chocolate off my fingers.
"Mmm" I said and looked at her. She was just staring at me, dumbfounded. I laughed.
"What's that look? The mighty Tatania afraid of someone like me eating off their face?"
"When you put it that way, it sounds gross, but no. I was saving it for later and you stole it." She playfully punched me in the arm.
"Aaaand cut!" I heard from behind us. I spun my head around quickly to see Mira holding a video camera while skipping back to her seat. She looked like she just won the grand magic games all by herself.
"Mira!!" Erza and I screamed while blushing. She ignored us and began filming someone else and I followed the camera's view to Natsu and Lucy. Natsu purposely set all ten marshmallows, that he somehow shoved onto his stick, on fire and gulped them all down at once. Then he ate a whole chocolate bar and a hand full of gram crackers. Lucy, on the other hand, had a marshmallow that was still a little uncooked in the middle and it was smashed between two crackers and chocolate. She had some smeared on her face like Erza did and Natsu pointed and laughed. She puffed her cheeks out and pouted while crossing her arms. Natsu then leaned in and caught all of us by surprise-especially Lucy-and licked her cheek where some chocolate was smudged. Her face turned a deep crimson red and she froze while her eyes bulged out of her head. Suddenly snapping out of it she slapped Natsu up-side the head and started yelling at him about how you can't just lick people and Natsu, of course, didn't see what was wrong with it. I noticed Mira screaming and dancing around with her camera.
"Perfect! Oh my god! So glad I brought you my baby!" She stroked her camera and continued to dance around the fire place. Mean while Juvia was trying so hard to feed Gray her s'more and she was slamming it into his face.
"Nice friends you have here." I laughed.
"Hey you're one to talk. You don't have any friends." Erza joked beside me, still staring at the fire.
"I have you." I said quietly so only she could hear. Thank god Mira was too busy doing some sort of chant to hear me. I meant it to kind of be romantic and Erza looked at me and smiled, but I knew something was off. It wasn't her normal beautiful smile that I fell in love all those years ago. There was a slight pang of hurt in her eyes. I was going to ask her about it when Mira chimed in, breaking my thoughts.
"How about a game of truth or dare!" She squealed.

•ERZA'S P.O.V.•
"How about a game of truth or dare!" Mira sang happily. This seemed like the best day of her life, and it was the same for me, until that one word came out if Jellal's mouth. 'Friends'. Just friends. Is that what he thought we were? Just friends. I pretended to smile and hide the pain I was feeling. Ever since I first met him, I fell in love with his eyes, his personality, his everything. Even during the whole Tower of Heaven ordeal, I still had strong feelings for him, and when it was over those feelings grew. But after all we've been through, we are just friends? I tried to brush it off, forget what he said. I just couldn't. Those words kept ringing through my head, repeating over and over. Just friends. I wanted to run away, hide and cry until I can't cry anymore. Curl up into a ball and disappear. Why? Why do I feel like this over a stupid word!? It's just that no one has ever made me feel this way. The mighty Tatania crumbles over a small word spoken from her best nakama. No, more than her best nakama or even crush. The person she loves with all her heart.
