CHAPTER 15: Truth or Dare #2

•LUCY'S P.O.V.•
"How about a game of truth or dare!" I heard Mira screech from beside me. My heart started pounding as if it was begging to break out of my chest. I just got over Natsu licking me, I can't take any more. Cut me some slack, I silently pleaded while wishing at the moment Mira and I had telepathic magic. Everyone started to get squeamish and were all fidgeting in their chairs, as did I. I can't keep playing these stupid games! They're going to be the death of me I swear Mira if I die young, it's your fault. As if she was reading my thoughts, she giggled, "oh come on! It's not like you're gonna die or anything! Man up, as brother Elf would say." Her reference made me and Levy laugh, but that small piece of relief faded quicker than Mira could say 'shipping' and just like that, it was gone. "I will go first," Mira cheerfully stated while gazing at all of her adorable couples trying to decide which poor souls would taste her wrath first. She pointed her finger at Erza. "Erza, truth or dare."
"Dare," Erza crossed her arms and sat tall, showing she wasn't afraid of some game. Mira gave an evil smile and rubbed her hands together while thinking. "I dare you to...switch clothes with Jellal!" Mira screeched while laughing. All the color drained from Jellal's face and he swallowed hard while Erza just shrugged. "Okay," she stated so calmly, it was kind of unnerving.
Once they changed their cloths they came to sit back down. Erza wore Jellal's baggy black sweatshirt and sweatpants that were far too big for her. Every step she took she had to hike them back up onto her waist. She didn't seem to mind though as she plopped into her chair. Jellal on the other hand, was trying so hard to hide his face and the embarrassed expression that it held. I couldn't hold in my giggles as he waddled in Erza's tight black leggings that were about four inches too short, revealing the bottom parts of his legs. He was also wearing her sweater which sagged down on one shoulder and was purple. It was supposed to be baggy, but on him it looked almost skin tight. Natsu, who was sitting beside me, pointed his finger and laughed so hard that he had to clutch his stomach. I couldn't hold it in anymore either and I burst out laughing also. I looked at Natsu who had fallen out of his chair and laughed even harder now pointing at him. Even Gray was laughing and Juvia giggled. Levy couldn't hold it and burst with laughter as well. Even Gajeel couldn't hold it in anymore and a low, gravely laugh escaped his mouth. Mira whipped out her camera and snapped a million pictures before moving on. "Okay, now it's Erza's turn," she giggled, "to choose someone." This seemed like more of a punishment for Jellal than Erza. Poor guy. Besides, girls always wear their boyfriend's clothes anyways. Boyfriend? They aren't dating, though they would make an adorable couple. I smirked at the thought. Then I realized, something was up with Erza, she wasn't her normal talkative self. She hadn't really said anything to Jellal after s'mores. Before that they had been acting like a boyfriend and girlfriend, I wonder what happened. Jellal, what did you do. I turned to see Natsu had finally calmed down and climbed back into his chair, now eagerly waiting for who Erza was going to ask. I have to admit, I'm equally excited to see who's next to meet the wrath of Erza. "Okay, I have chosen..." we all lean forward in suspense. She smirks and says in a scary, raspy voice, "Gray." Our attention is now on the raven haired boy, who gulps in anticipation. The suspense is killing us all. Meanwhile, Juvia squirms in her chair, probably hoping he will have to do something with her. I sweat dropped at the thought. Knowing Erza, it probably will. "Gray, truth or dare," she almost whispered in an evil tone. He wiggled in his chair, obviously uncomfortable. "Umm... pass?" He tried to beat the inevitable. It certainly didn't work. "What! You think you can just pass!? Just like that! Oh no ice head, you have a lot to learn!!" Both Erza and Mira exclaimed angrily, standing while a dark aura surrounded them. Erza re-quipped a long, ragged looking sword while Mira turned into her satan-soul. They both scream while charging him, "THATS AN AUTOMATIC DARE MISTER!!!!" They tackle him and all that is seen is a giant ball of dust. I winced at the sight, ouch Gray, wrong move. Gray's screams are barely heard, they are muffled by the sound of him eating dirt I'm guessing. Juvia covers her mouth with her fingers and reaches to grab a bag that was placed beside her chair. She digs through it for a moment and grabs out an ice pack, Tylenol, a water, disinfectant and bandages. Once the warrior and the she-devil are finished pummeling him, they return to their seats while brushing the dust off of themselves. Gray limps back to his chair next to Juvia and winces as he sits down slowly while rubbing the back of his head. "Here Gray-sama! Juvia will help your boo boo's." Juvia was all over him, shoving the painkiller pill down his throat and forcing it down with water. She quickly cleaned out his cuts and bandaged them up. Once everyone was covered, she gave each one a kiss for good measure, and then put the ice packs over all of them. Once she was done, she got off his lap and plopped back into her chair and waited for Erza to continue with Gray's 'automatic' dare. I saw Gray bury his face in his hands to hide a blush slowly forming on his face. "Okay, I dare you to..." Erza continued as if nothing had happened, "kiss Juvia's boo boo's," Erza smirked, obviously proud of her reference. Juvia's eyes lit up at Erza's dare and I could see the thankful look in them. "But, Juvia doesn't have any... um, 'boo boo's" Gray hesitated at using such a childish word while relief flooded his expression. Juvia suddenly stood up and ran into the cabin. When she came back out, she was holding my whip. "Hey! What are you doing with-" I couldn't even finish my sentence when Juvia started lightly whipping herself. I could tell it wasn't enough to cause her pain, but Gray's expression saddened. "Juvia, please don't hurt yourself over me! You're way better than that and you deserve better."
"But if Juvia has to whip herself for Gray-sama to kiss her, then she will. Juvia will do anything for Gra-" she was cut off by Gray's lips smashing into her own. My eyes widened and I rubbed them with my palms to be sure I was seeing correctly. He quickly released her and buried his face in his hands to hide his cherry red face. Juvia, on the other hand, took off to the lake and melted into the water all while performing some strange dance-like movement. "GOD DAMMIT DO IT AGAIN I DIDN'T CATCH THAT!!!" Mira's roars rang through the trees while she stood on her chair fiddling with her video camera. Gray scrambled towards the cabin as fast as his legs could carry him and he quickly reached the door and slammed it behind him. After Mira finally calmed down, she turned towards with the look of a predator eyeing it's pray. She started to tap her fingers together in a 'mad scientist' sort of way and said, "Alright.... who's next?" I gulped. I certainly don't wanna take part in this.. um, well I don't even know what to call it but it's certainly NOT any ordinary truth or dare game. "I saw that look Lucy Heartfilia. Are you questioning my game of love!? Well I think that means Natsu has to go now." Mira stated first in an evil tone and then in an optimistic, up-beat tone partially giggling the last part.
"What? That doesn't make sense! But I'm okay with that," Natsu stated, obviously too dense to realize this was a punishment for me.
"No no no no no you misunderstood Mira I love this game!" I waved my hands in front of my face and an innocent motion and put on a fake smile. I was totally lying, I don't understand how this game could even begin to be fun. Well, I guess it could if you were dating but... suddenly an image of Natsu wearing his signature smile and blushing popped into my head. I quickly shook the thought and blushed at the silly idea. I mean really, he's my partner, my best nakama. I can't start crushing on my partner. Besides, he's too stupid to even know what love is. I sighed at the thought, suddenly realizing why every time he got close to me my stomach would start to do flips. Oh my god... I love Natsu. My thoughts were interrupted by Mira's terrifying voice, her words ringing through my head over and over. They were more terrifying than the truth or dare we played in the car, and the reason is because...
"Natsu, truth or dare?" I panicked. Natsu wouldn't hesitate for a dare, that idiot. He's going to walk right into her trap dammit.
"Duh, dare. Bring it on! I can take anything you throw at me!" He tossed his head back and laughed. I unconsciously smiled at his laugh. It brought back memories of when we first met, his smile, and all the adventures we've been on and that are yet to come. That smile was quickly wiped from my face though when I realized what he just said. I mentally face-palmed and prepared myself for Mira's evil dare, which Natsu would never turn down. "Natsu, I dare you to..."she paused to think before her lips parted into a creepy smile. "I dare you to share a seat with Lucy." No Mira, why!!! He stood up and walked over to me and stood in front of me. "Move over Luce, your big butt is in the way," he snickered, "and Mira, how is this even a dare?" She didn't answer, she was busy getting her camera out to film the next events. I swung my hand out and it met Natsu's soft cheek with a 'smack!' noise. He rubbed the red mark on his face with his fingers. "Ouch Luce! What was that for!" He pouted while pursing his bottom lip out.
"You said I have a big butt! You never say that to a girl!" I lectured.
"It's true, you shouldn't say that to a girl Natsu, it makes us feel bad about ourselves you know." Erza chimed in, in a motherly-like tone.
"Why, big butts are a good thing when you're a girl," Natsu stated, probably trying to cheer me up.
"Natsu! That doesn't help!!" I yelled at him, "you know what, forget it. Just sit down already." I scooted over and patted the small area next to me. When he sat, I was partially on his lap because of my 'big butt' I guess, but his warmth was nice since the sun was all the way down and the fire started dying down also. I shivered, realizing how cold I really was. He noticed and looked at me. Our eyes met and my stomach fluttered for a moment, my eyes lost in his beautiful onyx ones. I quickly turned my gaze towards the fire trying to hide my blush. "You cold?" I heard his low voice right beside me and he was practically breathing on my neck. I shivered again but not from the cold this time. I slowly nodded and felt a warm, muscular arm wrap around me and he pulled me close. I was tense at first, but soon relaxed to his soft breathing and warm body. I rested my head on his shoulder and smiled while closing my eyes. I heard a squeal and a 'click' from Mira's camera, but at the moment, I didn't care. Nothing else mattered to me and everything was perfect. I found myself silently thanking Mira for the dare, and Natsu's soft, even breaths slowly lulled me off to sleep. I drifted off to dreamland in his strong arms, and nothing could be better.
